Chapter SEVENTEEN

(EARLIER)

Aaron's POV

Maybe I shouldn't have slapped her. I don't know if I should feel bad for making her suffer, besides her father did something to me years ago that I can't stop blaming her for. What he did is enough reason to kill her. But no, I need her in order to save Kim. Maybe later, I'll decide what to do to her.

The way she looked at me when she fell on the floor is still haunting me up to now. She thinks I'm a monster, she sees me as one. I can't imagine how much she must hate me right now.

I snap my head to the door when someone barges into my room

"Really Aaron? What an alpha move back there" Hannah says to me as she barges into my room.

"What do you want now?!"

"For you to stop acting like a f***ing a**hole!"

"Why do you even care? I thought you hated her as well"

"I did at first but then I realized I had no reason to, so why would I hate her?"

"Because of what she did to us!"

"Not she, he. Catherine did nothing to us" she says and take a step closer to me.

"Whatever! It makes no f*****g difference! Her father killed our parents so I hate them both!" I yell at Hannah and she crosses her arms in annoyance.

When I saw Catherine's father in the woods, I remembered moments later who he was. I was just four years old when it happened but the memory is vivid in my head because I dreamt about it almost every night.

My parents worked in the hospital. At that time warewolves and humans lived together, but not so much in harmony. My mother was a doctor in the hospital. She knew he was human when he came in with his pregnant wife, but yet she helped the woman to deliver her baby safely.

Catherine's father saw my mother's claws and wanted to kill her. My father ran into the room and tried to stop him but Catherine's father killed them both right before his wife accidentally died during the fight.

Since then I've hated humans.

I realized too late that the girl I've been watching in the woods was the daughter of the man who killed my parents, if not I would've killed them both.

"It makes every difference Aaron. Our parents were always peaceful werewolves. They helped humans when all they ever did was attack us, even till the last minute they were alive. And even though our father was an alpha he never treated people like sh*t, unlike you." Hannah says to me and i feel massive guilt immediately. She turns to walk away and leave my room.

I walked out of the pack house and into the woods. As usual I find comfort in the woods as I stroll to no where in particular.

Sometimes I Imagine myself living without a mate for the rest of my life. I was still getting to know Kim before she got kidnapped. I thought I would fall in love with her and we would lead the pack together and create an even larger family.

The more she's away, the more I get used to her absence. Even though it's just been a year, it feels like it's been a much longer time that she's been in the hands of the hood. It makes me just want to give up on finding her sometimes. If they don't come to me like I planned, I don't know if I'll ever find thier hideout and rescue Kim myself.

I hear a sound behind me at that moment, like the crashing of dried leaves. I dart my head to the direction to see a person covered in a black hood. They don't raise up their head, so I can't tell if it's a male of female. Immediately Kim's kidnapper crosses my mind.

The person starts to run right before I take off to go after them. They run deeper in the woods as I go after them. I change into my wolf immediately but can't still catch up with whoever it is. He or she is the fastest person I've ever chased. I increase my speed just then, and slowly closing the pace between us.

I'm still running when an arrow from nowhere hits my leg. I roar out loud as it peirces my skin. I immediately drag the single arrow out of my leg and continue chasing the criminal. I look around the woods to see who shot it, but I see no one but the person running Infront of me.

"I'm going to kill you once I get my hands on you" I roar but the person doesn't slow down.

Two more arrow hits my leg at that moment and I stumble to the ground. The person stops Infront of me, he or she doesn't turn around for me to see their face. A black hood is covering every part of thier body, but I know who it is already.

"You're the hood are you not? You're the b*****d that kidnapped my mate, Kim" I angrily sneer at the person standing 7 feet away from me.

"Hello Aaron. I hope you received my message" A deep male voice says replies to me. Just as I had suspected, the hood is a guy.

"Where is Kim?!"

He doesn't turn around to face me. I painfully get up from the ground, but my leg hurts to much to attack him right now.

"I hear you have the human I'm looking for" He says, and I know immediately that he's talking about Catherine. I can't let him have her, although initially the plan was to use her as a bait. I can't let him hurt her.

"You won't hurt her"

"I will. I'll kill both of you, and Kim who by the way doesn't miss you"

"I'll kill you before then you f*****g b****d!" I yell to the b****d before I reach across to grab him. My leg hurts badly, causing me to fall to the ground.

"Next time I visit again I won't leave you alive"

"Why?! You said it was my father who wronged you is it not?! Why are you after me?" I yell at him as he's still backing me, standing still in one spot.

"Because you're his son, but I'm his first" He says, right before something hard crashes with my head. I fall to ground in pain as the large stone that was just used to hit my head lands beside me on the floor.

I struggle to keep my eyes open, but my vision is blurry. The person in the hood approaches me and I watch him take off the hood covering his face. I can't see him clearly, his face appears too blurry.

He brings his face close to mine before I hear him say.

"Nice to finally meet you brother"

Then I black out.
