Chapter TWELVE

Catherine's POV

After Aaron created a scene in the cafeteria, people started displaying their hate towards me, while some got interesting in me all of a sudden and wanted to know my relationship with him. Only if they knew how much I hate him.

School ended with me not speaking to anyone aside a few, and I didn't see corner anywhere again.

Now I'm back in this mansion and Aaron is still hostile towards me. I haven't even seen him since he dropped me here in his car. I didn't try to run away while I was in school because that place was only surrounded by warewolves. Now I'm back in this mansion, I'll try and escape before someone chains me to a wall and make me watch his d**k get sucked.

"Catherine?" I dart my head to the door when I hear Sarah's voice. She walks into the room and for some odd reasons I'm actually glad she's here.

"He's just being an a**. You know how Aaron is" She says to me and sits beside me on the bed.

"No one's ever stood up to him in school so I guess that just triggered him"

"He really wants me to suffer if he's threatening the only person that's kind towards me"

"I'm kind towards you" she says as she places her hands on mine, and I look at her with a small smile.

"But the hood will kill me anyways so it won't matter" I contort my face when I remember the ugly truth, I'm just a bait that might get killed even if Aaron's plan works.

"I won't let them kill you"I look at her at that moment and she looks like she's telling the truth.

"You don't hate humans?" When I ask her, she removes her hand from mine and adjusts her back. I guess she does too.

We both snap our head to the door when we hear a loud noise like that of a shattering glass coming from downstairs. Sarah and I rush to see what happened.

When we reach the end of the staircase, we see the others in the living room. Mason is holding a large stone in his hand and Hannah is reading a small note.

"What happened?" Sarah asks as she approaches Hannah while I watch her from the stairs.

"Another threat" Hannah says, holding up the small note.

"This time around they did get quite violent" Mason says and looks back at the broken glass window.

"The time is getting closer to what we planned" Hannah says and looks at me, followed by Mason and Sarah. Now they're all looking at me and I turn around to back them. I need to get out of here somehow before this person comes for me.

"Where's Aaron?" Sarah asks after a short wave of silence.

"Aaron saw who threw the stone. He said he saw a girl and she wore a black hood over her head, so him and Nick went after the person. " I hear Mason say. Could the hood really be a girl?

Aaron's POV

"Don't let her get away" I yell to Nick who's running fast beside me. He changes into his wolve and runs ahead of me. I too change into my wolve before I catch up with him again.

We continue to chase the girl in the woods. Once, she glances back at us to see us catching up with her. She runs even faster but not fast enough to outrun us since we're already behind her.

Nick jumps at her immediately he's close enough to her and they both crash to the ground. They stumble to the floor and he runs to pins her to the ground as she struggles to escape.

I walk towards him and squat Infront Infront of the girl. She doesn't look familiar in any way. She doesn't even look harmless, she looks like a high-scholar like us so how could she have anything to do with a dangerous person such as the hood.

"Who are you?" In a stern voice I ask her. She glares at me but doesn't say anything.

"You don't want to speak?" I say before I move my gaze to Nick, signaling that he should remove his weight on her. He gives me a questioning look and I nod because from the looks of it she's human and she stands no chance between two warewolves in which one is an alpha.

When she stands up, I notice a mark on her neck, like a tattoo. I take a step closer to her to look at it. I recognize it clearly from all the threat notes the hood had been sending for the past weeks. The mark is hardly noticable on her skin. It looks like a faint circle with two vertical lines on parallel sides. I look at her face again, she's a human so there's no way that she's the hood, but I'm certain without doubt that she's working for them, and that they sent her. I'm going to ask this girl one last time, and if she doesn't respond I'll have to kill her here and right this instant.

"Who are you?" I roar at her and she doesn't flinch. She only stares at the ground. looks like these humans are getting more brave by the day.

"You don't scare me in any way" the girl says and raises up her head to look up at me.

"You piece of-" Nick says storming towards her and I use my hand to block him.

"They're much worse than you" she continues. "And they'll torture me in the worst ways if they found out you caught me" she says .

"Buttercup who says you're leaving here alive? Don't worry we'll kill you before they even get the chance to torture you" Nick says and I give him a warning look.

I shift my attention to the girl infront of me and try to sound as calm as possible.

"Tell us everything you know, and we won't let them hurt you" when I say to her she looks at me with doubt, but I manage to maintain an assuring look. She glances at Nick again before she nods in agreement.

"Good. Now start from the beginning"
