Escaping

I must try and escape this place before my brothers do much. I stood up and looked around to see if I can flee. The door is always locked and there is a guard outside. The bathroom has no window and I know that I’m on the second floor. I peeked through the window and noticed that there is a guard looking at my window. Okay this is not going to be easy, I guess. After a while, Aiden brought me snacks to eat for the day. “Aiden…” I said

“What?” He looked at me

“Can I go eat in your garden? I could use some fresh air now”

“And why would I agree to that request again?”

“I don’t know. I have always been in this room since I got here. And its not like I tried to escape or something”

“Because you can’t. If I take you outside, you will try to escape”

“I won’t I promise. If I try, punish me”

“If you try, you will start sleeping in my room and trust me, you won’t like it”

“It’s a deal” He then opened the door while I took a book and my food. I was willing to risk it in order to save my brothers the work. What if start that drug business will also ruin them or put their life in danger?

When we got outside, I saw a beautiful rose garden with a table in the middle. The morning air was so refreshing. “Thank you its beautiful” I said. He left without saying anything. I saw that he called 2 more guards to be around me, which is a total of 4. I can’t even fight, so how will I escape these guys. I looked around and noticed that the wall was very high and there weren’t any small gates around. Which means that I must use the main gate. Now this is a mission. I decided to eat while reading my book so I cannot seem suspicious or anything. After a while I took a walk around the garden while the guards followed me. I walked to the main gate through the driveway and found 2 more guards there. “Morning. How are you” I asked. They looked at each other as if having an eye conversation in whether to answer me or not. After a while, the one with curly hair said, “We are doing well Miss, can we help you?”

“No…I’m the boss’s wife and I thought I should come say hello”

“Oh, thank you. That’s really kind of you Miss” I wondered why the other guards didn’t say anything. After that, I went back to the house to try to think of something cause this place is really hard to escape. Guards at the exit and high walls, while Aiden is always watching me like a hawk. I found him at the kitchen drinking coffee. “Thank you, I enjoyed the fresh air” I said.

“I’m glad you did because you will not be getting it a lot”

“Yea I know.” I then went upstairs to my room where it was locked immediately. I know that Aiden checks the bathroom and the closet of my room before he goes to sleep every night. When he does that, the door is always unlocked, and I never see the guard at the door when he checks. Which means no one guards my room at night. He also replaced the lamp that I broke, so I got a good shot in this at least. He always has a gun and keys on his waist every time. Guess who is escaping home now.

Night-time came by quickly and I replayed the plan in my mind for the whole day. I heard footsteps near my door, and I know that it is time. He opened the door and checked things around. When he entered the bathroom, I sneaked behind him with the lamp waiting for him to turn around. And when he turned, I smashed the lamp on his head twice. He fell down in a thud and I didn’t waste any time. I took the key and the gun and ran downstairs. While in the living room, I shot a couple times before unlocking the door. I went out and hid behind a bush tree near the entrance. The guards around hurried inside the house and I locked it after they got in. I left the gun behind while I ran to the main gate. “Please help! Someone broke in the house and my husband is hurt! He told to me to run and get help. Please go now! Your boss needs you.”

They immediately ran to the house too while I unlocked the gate and fled. I didn’t know the place, but I didn’t care. I ran for quite a while until I ran out of breath. I looked around and there was no one. I hid behind a tree to rest and think of a plan to get home. After 15 minutes, I saw a cab around the corner. Wow this is my chance. The driver stopped when he saw me. I got it inside and gave him my home address. I told him that people were chasing and I really need help. “Miss, I can’t take you, I’m off duty now. My wife is waiting for me at home” He said.

“Please I need your help, or I will die. My father has money and he will reward you when you bring me home. He will explain to your wife what happened please” He went silence for a moment and started driving after a while. I sighed in relief. After a few minutes, the driver said, “Miss, you have blood in your chin, let me wipe you” He immediately took a cloth out of his pocket and put it over my mouth and before I could say anything, I saw darkness.

I woke up in this unfamiliar bedroom. The bedroom had grey and black colours. It looked like a guy’s fancy room. Am I home? Is it Brook’s or Trevor’s room? Did the driver bring me home? I knew I could do it. I stood up and tried to open the door, but it was locked.

“Mom! Brook! Trevor! Come open the door!” I screamed. I heard footsteps around the door before it was unlocked. When the person came in, it was like my world was shattered in pieces. “Hello sweetheart. Enjoyed the run around the neighbourhood? “Aiden smirked.

“What!?? How did you find me?”

“You should trust so easily love, it’s what got you here in the first place. The driver works for me and I told him to pick you up. “

“What??? That son of a b***h!”

“No no no. Don’t insult anyone. You weren’t even worried that your dear husband is hurt.” He laughed. “You remember that deal we made, you will be sleeping in this room now and trust me you not going to enjoy it because your dear husband is not happy sweetheart. Your plan was perfect, but your trusting personality got you back. You made a big mistake love and I’m not happy.” He added.

I felt a chill down my spine when I saw him talk. It was like I woke the devil in him. I don’t want to get punished again. What did I do?

“Come on I have to introduce you to everyone” He pulled me out of my thoughts.

We left the bedroom to his office. He had a library-themed office. It was like entering an old man’s expensive office. It had a calming nature in it. He motioned me to sit down in a sofa and called everyone. All the guards and maids filled the room in seconds.

“Hello everyone. Yesterday, an unfortunate event happened that made me realise that I have to rectify my mistakes. Here is your boss lady, Zenith Pride Marshall.” WHAT!? He can’t do that. He gave me a deadly look when I tried to open my mouth. He then continued to say, “She is the boss lady of this mansion and she wasn’t happy that I didn’t introduce her as my other half and the woman of the house. Which led her to make some disturbing mistakes that I don’t approve of. But I don’t blame her, it’s all my fault. So, from now on, she is allowed to give orders but not leave the house. She will always be treated with respect. Got that?” Everyone mumbled with agreement before leaving the office.

“Now sweetheart, it’s time for bed.” He said. s**t! We then left to the bedroom. When we got there, I changed to my pyjamas and got under the covers while he was watching me as if he is about to kill me at any point now. After a few minutes, he got in too. He snuggled closer to me while putting his hand on my waist and said, “You will regret trying to escape Mrs Black Lord, I promise you”
