AIDEN'S BIRTHDAY

NAOMI’S P.O.V

Today is my brother’s house and I want to surprise him at his house. I want to take my thoughts away from my friend’s disappearance. I miss her you know. I also noticed that she had a bit of liking to Aiden even though people think he is scary. I wish she could be found, maybe we would have made the surprise together. My brother loves hoodies and books, so I bought him a pink hoodie and this other new book that talks about poetry. He loves weird books. I know he will be shocked to see the pink hoodie, but he will like it I know. I bought some of his favourite snacks and a chocolate cake. When I was done, I drove to his house but stopped on the way when I saw a street vendor selling wrist bands. I saw that he prints them at the same time if you want something custom. I bought a black wrist band written “YOU ARE WEIRD” in pink letters. I took a little box and wrote a message saying, “I Know I’m missing but I won’t miss your birthday weirdo. From yours truly-Chippy”. Oh, he is going to like this one. Then I got back to my car after paying.

ZENITH’S P.O.V

This morning, Aiden woke me up to iron and make breakfast from him. He told me that he is going to treat me like a slave wife. I did all that without an argument because I didn’t want any bruises again. When I was making coffee for him, he burnt my hand with hot water and acted as if it was an accident. My heart wanted to explode at that very same moment. I just wanted to go back to my quiet boring life. After making breakfast for him, he called me to the bedroom. “What do you need Sir?” I asked

“Nothing. I want to tell you something before I leave. I have got important things to do today.”

“Okay?”

“You are going to stay in this room until I get back. I don’t want any funny business. One wrong move this time, I kill you.”

“Yes Sir” Then he left the room and locked it. After a few minutes, I heard voices downstairs. Who could it be? Should I scream? Ugh…the room Is soundproof.

AIDEN’S P.O.V

I was about to leave when there was a knock at the door. I opened and found my dear sister looking at me with the cutest smile ever. “Naomi? What are you doing here you sneaky rabbit?” I asked.

“I’m here for the birthday boy! Happy Birthday Aiden!” She said hugging me.

“Thank you. I didn’t expect you to come here but anyway, what did you bring? I know you always have something for my birthday”

She ran outside and came with a few bags.

“Firstly, it’s the chocolate cake” Great. She knows I hate cake, but she still buys it. But I love her either way.

“Secondly, it’s a hoodie.” She said laughing. She bought me a pink one. She knows how to mess with me.

“Thirdly, a book.” Awesome! I love her…

“Last but not least, take this” She said nervously. I wonder what it is. She gave me a small box with some cute decorations. Naomi and colourful things are best friends for sure. I opened the box to find a nice wrist band. I immediately wore it because my sister is special. “Okay why do you think I’m weird now?” I asked laughing.

“Read the message i***t. It wasn’t from me” What!? Who is it from? I opened the box again to find a little paper with a message and when I read it, it was like the room was closing in on me. Why Naomi?

“She sent this?” I asked shivering.

“Yes, she did. I don’t know how though. I think she asked Santa for help. Why are you nervous? I knew you like her” she laughed.

“I know you are the one who did this. But why?”

“I know she would want to gift you something and she also found you weird but cute. I am sad that she isn’t here so gifting you that on her behalf makes me a lot better”

“Thanks Omi. You really are the sweetest” I hugged her.

“Now we have to go before I start crying. We have to have lunch and play games the I will leave you all alone. But first, we have to pick your gifts from mom and dad. Got it?”

“Got it”

Then we left.

When I got back to my house around 6 in the evening, my mind was filled with heavy thoughts. Out of all the gifts I have received, the wrist band does take the cup. It was very special but filled with pain too. How can I wear something that was given to me by her when I know exactly that she is in my house? I know Naomi means well and it hurts me to keep her in the dark. After a while, I head straight to my bedroom where I found Zenith dancing and singing in a towel. Now that’s a goddess body. She is so perfect and If I could, I would worship her body right now. She immediately stopped when she saw me. Looks like the she wasn’t aware before that I entered the room. She was singing a song by Halsey, named “Without me”. She sang it with passion.

For a while, it looked like the world has stopped for us. When she noticed the situation, she immediately took her sleeping clothes and dashed to the bathroom. Damn she can run. I changed my clothes too while she was in the bathroom. I then waited for her on the edge of the bed. When she came out, I said, “I need to tell you something.”

“What is it?” I took a plate from one of the guards at the door.

“Eat this first” I said. She was shocked at first but ended up eating the from the fork I was holding.

“Why should I eat the cake?”

“It’s my birthday”

“Oh…Happy Birthday Enzo. Did you enjoy your birthday?” She called me Enzo? Wow…we will have a conversation about that tomorrow.

“Thank you. I need to show you something now” I gave her the box with the message that Naomi gave to me.

“Why would she send the gift on my behalf?”

“I don’t know. But she misses you and she told me that you send this.”

“I miss her too. So, what was inside?” I then showed her my wrist and suddenly, she seemed to become emotional after seeing it. “Why are you crying?” I asked.

“I told Naomi that you are weird the night before you took me. I also texted her the next morning tell her that on your birthday, I’m going to give you a wrist band saying you are weird and I’m going to make sure that you wear it everywhere and every day. She granted me a wish.” She cried.

She really wanted to give me this herself. Wow. I will never forget this moment. I held her face and wiped the tears from her eyes. I then said, “Don’t cry Chippy…its my birthday and no one cries on y birthday. Thank you for the gift.” I then kissed her forehead.

I then said, “wear this…it will make you feel better” I gave her the pink hoodie and it looked like a blanket on her. She was really cute. After a while, I saw her eyes close peacefully and drifted off to la la land. I took my phone and took pictures of her while sleeping.

When I was about to sleep, a call came in from an unknown number on my burner phone. I answered and kept quiet, then the person on the line said, “Its Trevor, lets meet. You want a drug business, right?”

“Yes Mr Black” I smirked.

“Then you got it. Tomorrow at your restaurant. 6 in the evening” Then the line went off.
