Adjusting to everything

I woke up this morning and did my morning routine for school and went downstairs. I had breakfast and waited for my mom to take me to school. "Oh no little lady, you are taking yourself to school" my stepdad said. "There are cabs around?" I asked "No, but I got a little surprise for you" He grinned. We then went outside and I almost dropped my jaw. It was a new BMW GT. My favourite car! "You can test drive it to school. Its all yours." my stepdad smiled. "Why would you borrow me your new car? I don't wanna mess it up. I can't pay for it."I exclaimed. "NO! Its yours. As in like you own it. I bought it for you. Its my welcome gift for you." "But you bought me stuff yesterday. That's too much" "No I didn't. Brook bought them for you. Don't tell him I told you that." Oh that sneaky guy. He didn't tell me that he was buying me things. Doesn't he want people to think that he is sweet? He is weird. "Now now, you gonna be late for school. Go say bye to everyone and get directions for your school from your brother Trevor" He said. I did just that and left for school. When I arrived to the scream, it screamed "PRIVATE". Oh wow, I'm going to attend school with the rich kids. The name of the school was Emerald Private School. I went to get my class schedule from the reception and ask for directions to my class because this school was super huge! On the way, I bumped into some girl. "Oh sorry. I didn't see you. I am still getting used to this new school." I said. "Don't worry. I'm new too. My name is Naomi Marshall and I will be your new friend,if you don't mind. Oh gosh Im being weird. Sorry", she said with a bubbly energy. Then I laughed and said "Dont worry about it. I like you. I could use a friend in this new place. Lets go, we will be late for class." We then find out that we shared classes, then we left. The school day went on by normally. I bid by goodbyes to Naomi and went to the parking lot. I then had a feeling that someone was watching me. I looked around and only saw the other students. I brushed away that thought and got into my car. I got a phone call while driving home from my mom. She asked me to stop by the mall and buy some decorations for my little sister's bedroom. That one loves decorating for sure. I arrived at the mall, parked and went inside. I went inside the shop and picked some things for my little sister. I paid for the things and went to my car. When I arrived home, I gave my little sister her decorations and attacked my homework duties. Later in the evening, someone knocked in my door, "Come in", I answered. It was Trevor. "You busy?", he asked. "No, you wanted something?" "No, just came to check on you. You made your room really nice. I hope you know feel at home." I laughed and said, "Thank you. Don't worry, everything is no longer awkward like the first day." "Talking about first days, how was your first day at school?" "It was great. The school is huge! It has everything one could imagine. It even has a girl's soccer team!" "You want to join the team?" "Yes, but after settling in" "Awesome! You will tell me when you are ready, so I can get you everything you need. I'm also glad school is good, because I was going to kick ass to whoever messed your first day." "Don't worry about it. Everything is good." Trevor turned to his left and saw the picture of my dad. "You miss him?", he asked. "Yes, a lot." "I'm sorry. Dad told me what happened." "It's okay. It's in the past now." "Okay let's go downstairs and get dinner." We ate dinner as a family. It was quite nice and everyone was conversating except for Brook. This guy has a really mean face. Maybe I'm overlooking the whole thing. He is not happy about the new arrangements and I was also upset about it. Maybe he just needs time. Everyone handles new situations in their own way. After dinner, I played play station with Trevor while Brook was watching us like hawks. "Brook, you want to play?", I asked. "Pfft, you want to lose?" "Ohhh, confident much huh? FIFA is the love of my life and I bet I would give you a hard time." "Game on." We played for more than an hour and until he lost at the last minutes. Honestly, I thought I was going to lose but this guy can play. He is really good but I will never tell him. "BOOM! In your face", I screamed. He stood up and left. "What did I say wrong?" I asked Trevor while laughing. "His ego is hurt" We laughed about it. After a while, we put things away and went to bed.
