It was a school day and I felt better because I resolved issues with my brother Brook. I woke up a bit early today so I can make breakfast for everybody. I felt free but anxious today...like something huge is gonna happen. It was really weird. I went to school and had a normal day except for Naomi's crazy thoughts. The school bell rang and we all went home. I decided to go out and have time for myself at the mall. I entered a book shop and I immediately wished not to go out. I started searching for some great books and some weird books to make my own little library in my bedroom. My room was huge and I didn't have a lot of things. So I decided to give the space some use. I asked my stepdad to make me a wall shelf like in libraries for my books and I was impressed. It was really great that I hugged him for like 5 minutes. He was startled by my reaction but happy about it. So at the book shop, I picked a few books along the way and I was daydreaming about starting to read them.

"Book sucker, huh? " Someone said behind me. I turned to find Aiden with a smirk on his face. This guy is really going to be the death of me. He is brown skinned, tall, well-built and super cute. Sometimes I think he is an imagination. How can someone be so perfect. I was pulled back to reality when he said, "Hello? Where did you wonder off to?" I was so embarrassed! "Umh sorry...I was thinking about something. What were you saying??" I said.

"Umh take this book, I think you should read it. It will suit you perfectly" And then he showed this book with a grey cover. The title was "MY LAST DAY OF FREEDOM". That was weird, why would he give this book. When I was about to ask, he was gone. I brushed away that weird thought and paid for all the books, including his. I then went to buy ice-cream before going home. While I was on my way home home, I got a text from Brook asking where I was. It seemed as if something is wrong. Why does it seem like he is panicking. I will ask him when I am home. 

Upon my arrival, I saw him waiting at the door for me. "What's wrong???" I asked.

"Nothing...umh, has anything weird happened or met anyone sketchy?" He said.

"No...I actually enjoyed my book shopping. No one was following me and no one dodgy talked to me. I just met Naomi's brother and he recommended a book while I was shopping. Yep, that's it."

"You mean Aiden? In a book shop? You should really start being careful. He is not a nice guy. Please try to avoid him at all costs or call me when he tries to talk to you. Even if you feel like someone is following you or you don't feel safe, tell me please!"

"Okay calm down tiger. I don't know why cause he seemed nice but whatever you say brother"

"Did you just call me brother?" He grinned.

"Yes...why?"

"Nothing...let's go inside. You have studying to do before dinner." We went inside and I dashed to my room. I couldn't wait to read Aiden's book. I packed the books in my new shelf and started reading his book. While reading, I started having a weird feeling. The book was kind of giving me a chill in my spine. One of the paragraphs said, "My last light, my last choices, my last comfort. I know that today is my last day of freedom. Tomorrow I will be going through the darkness of being caged. I will be installed with the fear of never seeing the light again. All my hopes will be shattered like a fragile glass and all I will do is cry. My dreams today will be overpowered by tomorrow's nightmare. Death will be my only wish." 

Whoa! That was creepy and scary. Why would he recommend this book. It's not like we are in those slavery days. This should be a documentary for prisoners and slaves. Its not my kind of books. I was called downstairs for dinner and I didn't refuse despite my disturbed imagination. "What's wrong?" Trevor asked, pulling me out of my thoughts."You look like you have been drained of energy. Did something happen?? Should I be beating up some boy?" He continued.

"No...I'm just on my periods. Nothing major. Don't worry about it" I answered. Everyone the continued eating but Brook didn't seem convinced by my statement. I volunteered to wash the dishes to take my mind off things. "Spill it out" Brook said while entering the kitchen.

"Its nothing, I just need to rest that's all" I said, trying to sound convincing.

"Anyway school is off tomorrow. I got their email a few hours ago. So you can rest the whole day"

"Why do they email you?"

"So we can all know the updates. They email me, Trevor, dad and your mother" Its the first time I hear him saying mother. Now that's a twist.

"Okay then. Im taking one of new novels to read the park tomorrow morning. I love the morning weather."

" Be careful then. Goodnight Chippy"

" Night Brook" Wait, what!? Chippy?? Is he that bad at puppy names? You could do better than that brother. I went to my bedroom when Im done. I brushed my teeth and called Naomi. I could really use her exquisite energy.

"Hey Naomi" I said as she answered the call.

"Hey girl. What's up?"

"Umh...good. I wanted to ask you something."

"Go on."

"Is your brother weird or something? He gave a weird novel about losing freedom. It gave me chills and now I don't think I will be able to sleep"

She let out a loud laugh and said, " He is weird but okay at home. He acts otherwise to people who are not close to him. People sometimes say he is scary and weird but cute at the same time. Girls like him a lot but can't approach him. But there are some brave ones...just know that it doesn't end good. Don't worry about it, I think he likes you. I have never seen him being fond of someone.Just imagine the good feeling he gives, and I promise you that it will overpower those shady thoughts. Okay?"

"Okay...thanks Naomi. I love you and sweet dreams"

"I love you more Chippy. Night" I was about to switch off the lights when it clicked. Chippy?? Where the hell did she get the name?!
