Day 2.4

They looked at each other as they heard a knock on the door. They got up from the floor, and the youngest got up from the bathtub. They left the bathroom in the order that they got up. The youngest was behind them with his knife out, looking at the second oldest as she had the most senior bat, while the oldest had her katana. They sometimes don’t communicate that much. They react the way they do in the case of the fight-or-die that the world is making them. They heard the knock once again. She listened to her heart beating faster as she got closer. She grabbed the front doorknob and looked behind her. They heard a sore voice say as she was about to open the door. “i***t, they probably think that we are humans.”. They stepped away when they heard this fearing that what the youngest said was true. They looked at the youngest as he gave a look that said. ‘I told you so’ The oldest was looking at her second-most senior, who shook her head when she saw she was moving towards the door. How could they speak? They should have no control over their heads or hands, to begin with, if they are like this. How can I protect my kids? How can I make sure that none of my s**t comes back? Why the f**k does this feel wrong? She felt her chest tighten as she held her bat closer to her. As she looked behind to see her kids looking at her, saying something to her, but she couldn’t hear or see them. Her breathing had gotten back as if she was punched in the lungs. She inhaled and exhaled as she looked at her kids as smiled. A stop was heard as they looked at the oldest, breathing heavily and listening to the thud on the roof. She looked at her. She put her hand on the most senior as she looked at them and said. That voice was very familiar. Looking at the oldest, she told the oldest that the person had sounded very similar and that it freaked her out. She said that she had heard that voice before. The sound of breaking glass and a groan were heard behind them as they turned and saw one of the dead from last night come in, warped up like a present but with so many blankets. It looked like it was a sausage. They had thought as they heard their stomach growl as they looked back at the dead as the youngest brought something out of their backpack. And sat down near the oldest. The youngest is eating cookies and dried orange slices. Her oldest had gotten a peanut butter protein bar but put half of it back as she looked at the most senior. They remembered how she got when she just smelled nuts. Suppose this is what they eat. Looking at the oldest, she asked herself what she had eaten. She grabbed her bat again, ready to help the most senior protect the youngest. Said the most youthful, still eating while looking at the older women. With force, he brought out his hand and threw a ball of paper for them as he untangled himself; the oldest looked at him and growled. He separated himself as he left the blankets on the floor. He jumped from the same window that he had come through. She went to grab the paper, smiled, and looked at them as she showed them what he had written. Have a day off, relax and have some fun with the little one so he can feel like a kid. Since not only is he a child, but so is she. Stay inside so that we can have peace of mind as well. – Jay. They smiled at each other as they did just that. Laughing and smiling, really feeling like they were humans, not food. As Jay smiled as he saw them thru the window. As he back hugged the dead that had given them the letter. As said, dead signed to him. They look just like us. While the other just sign back. Let’s eat together today. And eat together, something that they rarely had done. They looked at each other as they heard a howl that was familiar to them. As he looked at them and they tripped over the fort they made with the younger, he fell as the oldest struggled to put her shoes on and her sweater. The youngest put his boots on as the more senior did the same. The second oldest grabbed the most youthful, and they nodded to the oldest as she opened the door. They ran out when they heard thumping as if they were jumping from the house’s roof. The oldest put the youngest down as she ran slower than usual. The youngest ran ahead as they came running out of the house. They were one thing that day. Us and them. Not Humans and Deads. No, just us and them. We were like a family that day, with Nelson running ahead of us. So he could see the person he made friends with. Vicky ran behind him as she smiled, the biggest smile I hadn’t seen in a while. We were family that day as we all ran to see him coming home. To see him coming back and coming back in one piece and the others as well. So I could rest easily and ensure my kids would be safe. How I wish that safety could have lasted the whole time we were together with them. They were behind and in the middle of the dead that was running and jumping. All three looked around them and saw how many dead were in the house across them. They looked like kids when their parents came home from work as they pushed each other as she was trying to understand why they acted like this. She wanted to know why they were like this with each other. They came to a stop, all of them, when they saw how they came dragging a human and Noah. She held onto the youngest shoulder as she looked at the oldest grabbed her shoulder as she looked at her and shook her head to say no. They looked at them as they saw him sign them something as they were blocked from the view of Noah. Weakly he put his hand up and gave the three of them a thumbs up. She looked at him as he shook his head and went inside his home. She grabbed the youngest as he looked at the house. He held the oldest tighter, which he usually does when falling asleep, as the second oldest grabbed her hand. As they walk back to their home. He looked at her as she nodded as covered her full blood mouth. She walked past the sleeping lover, who was too weak to move. She knew that whoever they were, they were after her as she kept quiet and looked after them from afar. But she had to get back to her kids.
