Present time: The year 2026 Month 6 Day: Unknown.
The Reason for finding: The blood of number ten from experiment one and twenty from experiment five.
Reason for recording: A dead that was brought back to life.
To them, we are a threat as we run at them, ready to fight to the end, just so that they can be safe as we growl at them. I looked at the group of three who looked at me as I tried hard to talk again. Years of growling and signing were difficult, and then going back to talking was more challenging as they gave me water. It felt nice going down my throat as I wanted to cry again.
To them, we are family as they smiled when we came back, as we waved back as the youngest smiled. I smiled as I knew that at least he was safe, or at least I hoped he was. The hope in me wants him to be alive. To them, we are the enemy. As they threw more stuff at us with the kid in our hands, the kid screamed at them to stop as we held him tighter. I know he is alive since he was always near them and never left her.
Well, after the first year, the oldest was always more protective of her kids since the second month of the second year. She cares for her kids, every single one of them. To them, we are the saviors as they hold the youngest in their arms and say thank you. We see the oldest cry as she has the youngest tighter to her. To them, we are easy to kill as they take our father’s life in front of us as he screams for us.
As we screech, we see how they did it. To them, we are kids who need love. She holds the youngest of us in her arms as he cries and holds him tighter as her kids come running out of the house. I sigh as I see another person enter as if they haven’t seen someone sign before. As I saw someone start talking as I signed everything I had said, I smiled, feeling the hair on my face for the first time in years.
I want to cry since they won’t show us where they are. Will they recognize me? To them, we are test subjects as I scream as they stick another needle into me, I never liked hands as they always scared me when I was younger, and they still do. To them, we are people. As she hugged me and said everything would be okay, she held me with so much care and love that it hurt me to see her like that.
To them, we are nothing as she gets hit in front of us, smiles at us, and shows her red teeth full of blood as she laughs, smiles at us, then at the soldiers, and comes in roaring at them as they had her, she mouthed to us. “I told you she would find us.”. She falls to the floor, giving us the will to fight back against them.
To them, we are the angles they didn’t know they needed. They hugged the oldest of the three as she grabbed them tighter and cried. That was the first time I saw her cry, and I never wanted to see her cry again. To them, we are the thing that they need to fix the sickness that they caused, that caused her to see herself as a monster when she lost her kids.
She was a mess, she needed him and her, and they also needed her. I rather not say anything, I said as I sighed and stopped signing as the one that was translating was struggling to believe me. As he signed back to me. Are you sure that what you are saying is true? He asked me as I signed back yes. I looked at the people in front of me as I signed. Why, who were they to her? I saw him sign continue as I sighed and signed again. To them, we are the people they need to stay alive. We try to smile back as they smile at us, even if it hurts us.
To them, we are parasites as they kill each one of our kind, but they leave us for the end, with more brothers and sisters dying because of them. I calmed myself down as I looked at them and smiled since they had a look of horror on their face.
To them, we are their everything as we see them laugh for the first time in a while, as we smile, knowing that we can hear them again. To them, we are the end of the cruelty they did to them as they grabbed them. Their screams haunt us the most, knowing we could have done something.
To them, we are the only thing she has left as she screams for her kids. Her screams hurt as they held her down and looked at her with the need to kill her. That is when I noticed that he had stopped for a while. To them, we are the last of everything. I smile at her as she screams at them to stop; that is when he comes. I said as I pointed to the soldier that was next to him. To them, we were zombies, but to the family, we were humans. I signed as I looked at him, and for the first time in a long time, I felt my tears as I sobbed for her and her kids.
Present
She fell asleep almost at midnight. As she looked out the window and saw how dark the night was, she looked at her kids and saw her hands start to shake. She closed her eyes as she dreamt of simpler times. She was going to a self-defense class and looked at the youngest since she helped out with the younger kids.
She laughed when she saw the kids messing around as if it were a regular day. She then would go home. She would hug her mother and father and then scream at her uncle a good night as she fell asleep. She was the first to wake up since she looked at the kids still sleeping as she slowly brought them inside the bathtub so they wouldn’t get hurt. She looked at them as she smiled.
She goes to the kitchen and sees one of the dead from the night before. She then looked down. When she saw the dead leaves, she saw a piece of paper she grabbed it. He will be back with Noah in a couple of days, so we should sit here for a while as we don’t know when they will return. He should be able to come back without injury. I hope. But as far as we know, they will be back around three days.- Kim. She also saw the child-like writing.
As she looked at that, she asked Kim. How old were you when you were turned? She was about to answer when she heard the howling from a group. She ran out of the house and closed the door behind her. She knew it was weird, but she was calm as she would see everybody soon. She smiled, knowing she would see him and he would be safe. “If we were in different times, we would be a family.”. She stopped because she didn’t like that she didn’t want to remember her.
The youngest comes out of the bathroom. He rubs his eyes as she says. Good morning. As he nodded his head as he went to the kitchen, she looked at him and told him. Before the power goes out, do you want pancakes? She asked as she looked at him. As he stopped and looked at him as her and nodded.
She laughed as she looked at him and patted his head as she told him to wait in the living room since she opened the window and somehow the dead had been able to walk outside. She looked at the kid as she saw him look out the window, and she was looking at the deceased. He smiled as he looked at them. The younger screamed from the living room. They’re like little kids! He said as he laughed as he saw one of them pretending to get shot with an arrow.
She was initially scared when she saw this, but she looked out the window and sighed, knowing she was talking about them being kids. She then hugged her younger child as he first tensed, then he hugged back as he looked at her, as she smiled as he looked at her.
Can we go on a walk today, just us? And can they not come? He asked her as he saw the second oldest come out of the bathroom. She yawned as she nodded as if telling him to go on when she saw what the oldest was wearing. She looked at the youngest as if asking why she had a dress on when he just shrugged as she looked at her and said. Hey, Alex, isn’t that a dress? She said as she looked at the oldest.
The oldest looked down at her clothes as she closed her eyes, inhaled as she looked at them, and smiled as she told them. How about we walk around the block to take our minds off things? They wanted to say yes, but they knew she knew about the person. And don’t worry, I’ll be behind you.
They saw them running as he smirked and threw the head he was eating to the ground. She looked at him as she ate the heart and smiled at the small family. They looked at each other as they started eating the other body they had. It was nice seeing you again, Alex. He said as he ate the body. He smirked as he sat down and ate. I’ll see you soon. He thought as he continued to eat. She grabbed her own kids and dragged them under the bed as she hugged them. As she whispers. Now I know how you feel.
