Chapter 2 Exorcist

Both the spider demon and Mary froze for a moment. As the scimitar spun and flew back into its owner's hand, they saw a girl in a green plain dress descend from the sky. The scimitar was not delicate nor small, and it looked awkward and ungainly for a girl to use. But the girl did not need an elegant weapon to match her, for she was ugly, with a large scar on her face that nearly covered half of her face.

"Who are you? How dare you interfere in my affairs?" The spider demon said in annoyance.

The girl did not reply, but preemptively, directly flung out her scimitar, cutting off all the spider's tentacles. The spider demon howled with indignation and spat out countless spider silk to wrap the girl's body in layers. She was about to be pleased when the spider silk broke off and scattered like snow flakes. The girl's straight figure emerged, unharmed.

"Who the hell are you?" The spider demon began to fear, sternly asked.

"You have become a demon, I have come to eradicate you." The girl finally spoke.

"You are a demon exorcist? Hmph, what ability do you have to eradicate me?" The spider demon looked at the 17 or 18-year-old girl in front of her, although she had just learned her power, she still did not believe that with the girl's magic power can beat the demon back to its original form.

Mary also looked at this girl who claimed to be an exorcist half-heartedly.

Just as the spider demon wanted to attack, the girl crossed her hands horizontally and a lavender diamond-shaped jade stone was revealed with the separation of her fingertips. The girl flicked the jade stone into the spider's abdomen, purple light covered her, gradually shrinking her huge body back to its original form. The spider demon that lost its magic power was unwilling and tried to struggle.

"In the future, if you mutilate innocent creatures again, the Demon Subduing Stone will break your liver and intestines." The girl warned.

Hearing this, the spider dared not show any more dissatisfaction and obediently crawled away.

"Ah!" Mary suddenly screamed in pain, only to see that the wound on her hand was expanding and rotting.

While she was suffering from pain, the girl came to her side and said softly, "Don't worry." She transmitted her magic power to Mary's hand and gradually made the wound heal.

Seeing that the girl was ready to leave after healing her wound, Mary stopped her, "Thank you, Miss exorcist, can you tell me your name?"

In the S&Cave.

"Why isn't Sis Mary back yet." Acacia paced around the cave anxiously.

Anna was also worried, after all, she had witnessed the spider goblin become a demon. She had met countless goblins during these three years of wandering, many of which wanted to become demons by sucking up human spirits or even the magic power of their kind, so as to become powerful and join the demon realm smoothly.

Anna looked at everyone's worried and fearful appearance, her heart was sad and guilty, in the end the spider goblin was attracted by her, in order to keep everyone from worrying, she deliberately said in a loud and confident voice, "Sis Mary must be beating the stinky spider hard, don't worry everyone."

"Yes, yes, Sis Mary is so powerful." Lily tilted up her childish face and said proudly, her big eyes glanced at the white figure at the entrance of the cave and exclaimed excitedly, "It's Sis Mary, she's back!"

"Sis Mary, Sis Mary..." Everyone flocked around Mary's side.

"I'm fine." Mary said to Acacia, who was still frowning nervously, and Acacia then put her mind at ease.

"Anna." Mary looked at the wound on Anna's neck that was still clear and asked with concern, "How is your wound?"

This concern instantly made Anna's nose sore, she desperately blinked a few times before suppressing her tears. "I'm fine, thank you for always protecting me so much." Anna felt even more guilty, but she didn't dare to say her worry and panic, as to why she didn't dare to say even she couldn't figure out, maybe because she was afraid, maybe because she hated her own incompetence, maybe because she enjoyed the comfort of the Spirit Cave Mountain and her friends who gave her warmth.

"Anna, what are you thinking about?" Mary understood Anna's mind and joked, "From the day you came to S&Cave Mountain, you are a friend to all of us. You have to believe that sooner or later you will become strong and become everyone's patron saint."

"Sis Mary, thank you." Anna did not understand the sincerity and deep meaning of her words, and took it as Mary's kindness to comfort herself.

"By the way, the spider goblin has become a demon, Sis Mary, how did you defeat her?" Acacia asked curiously.

Mary said, "An exorcist suddenly appeared and saved me, her name is Shine."

"An exorcist!" Anna said in surprise.

Exorcists, like immortals, eradicate demons to guard the peace of the world, and thus are revered by humans.

In the human realm.

"Sis Shine, help me, help!" A loud cry for help, only to see a little girl of five or six years old running desperately forward, from time to time turning back to be alert to a lion goblin that was chasing her.

The lion goblin leapt, overriding the little girl, "Are you tired of running? Now you must be very delicious, the blood just expanded throughout your body, the meat is more fluffy, and my meal time is just right."

The evil and greedy voice scared the little girl's legs and fell to the ground. Just as the lion goblin opened its b****y mouth and swooped down, the little girl clutched her body and shouted in a trembling voice of despair, "Sis Shine!"

The lion goblin pounced on the ground and hit his face hard.

The little girl opened one eye in fear and found herself in Shine's arms, she was overjoyed and said with a bit of complaint, "Sis Shine, Lara is so scared, where did you go?"

"Don't be afraid, I am here." Shine reassured Lara.

"Ah, the vicious lion is coming again!" Lara shrank into Shine's arms and pointed at the lion goblin who had reared up and was ready to attack.

Shine whipped out her scimitar and sliced all the sharp teeth out of the lion's b****y mouth that had pounced on her. The lion goblin fell to the ground and howled in pain, and Shine turned Lara's face to rest on her chest. "If you dare to harm humans again, I will beat you back to your original form and never become a goblin." After saying that, She took Lara away.

Walking to a village, Shine stopped and said to Lara, "Well, go back, don't be naughty out of the village at will, you know? It's dangerous outside."

"I know, but I also want to become an exorcist like you, to help more people." Lara is small but ambitious, her eyes are full of determination.

"You're too young." Shine stroked Lara's head and said, "How about this, first learn those spells I taught you, and when you are proficient in using them, I will come back and take you to practice with me, okay?"

Lara had her mother, she was different from Shine, if she lived the life of an exorcist's life hanging by a thread at all times, what should her mother do? But her eyes are so determined, and her temperament is bold and stubborn, Shine only has to comfort her in this way.

"Okay, I will definitely learn as soon as possible. Sis Shine, you have to keep your word." Lara's face was full of confidence and expectation.

"So good." Shine dotingly rubbed Lara's head.
