Episode 14

"Mom,Dad,Angel,I'm sorry for not visiting you for years now.So much has happened so fast that I felt overwhelmed at a point. I'm healing too...at least that's what my psychologist said"Sitting in front of them,I try to compare my life ten years ago to now. I really am healing!

"I know you're probably mad at me for not bringing your killers to book.I promise you,I'm waiting for the right time" I clench my fist thinking of what I'll do to those men once I find them.

The update of my life goes on. I talk about my companies and how much I've grown to love the corporate world.I tell them about my progress.

"You know,sometimes I really miss you."I feel the tears flowing down my cheeks and I'm not stopping them.Not this time."Angel,you were my best friend." I weep, remembering how she saved me from school bullies all the time.

"Mom,Dad,you were my source of motivation.You taught me to never give up. You taught me to stand tall." I sniff "Mom,I remember your favorite quote 'be a unicorn in a field of horses' That has always helped me. Even after you,you left me"

"Thank you so much for everything you did for me.All of you.You did a lot for me and now, now,it's time for me to do mine. I probably won't be able to pay you back but I promise to make you happy and get justice for you. I'll get to the root of this murder case." I wipe my tears "This,is my promise to you"

One would have thought that the police would actually make conscious efforts to find the other four killers but no, they didn't. I had told them that James Long was one of the assassins and they promised to get him to face the consequences. Few days later,they claimed there was not enough evidence to prove that James Long was there on the night of the murder. All the men were masked except James Long so I couldn't get any sketch done. I just vowed to take revenge for my family's death.Even if I can't get all the killers,I'll make sure I get James Long.I know for a fact that he planned the whole thing. I know the police was involved in the crime. And I came to a conclusion that with money and influence,everything is possible.It's possible to get away so easily after committing a crime.And it's possible to get any information you want about anyone.So,I'll use this money and influence to get those killers come what may!

Dropping the bouquets of flowers ,I decide to leave the graveyard. Walking away,I feel...light.My heart carries less weight after talking to them.I miss this feeling.

Just when I'm about to step into my car,I notice the flat tyre. Damn! Why does it have to be now? The place looks empty. Ofcourse, not many people love to be in cemeteries. A young man catches my eye and I decide to ask for help.Who knows,he might know a mechanic around or something and besides,who wouldn't want to help Louella Walker?

" Excuse me, um, sorry to bother you but my car has a flat ty-" Immediately I see his face,I regret coming to New York.

"You?"I squeal ."You've got to be kidding me!" I shake my head .

"Hey Ella.Nice meeting you. Again" He stresses on the last word and gives me that familiar smirk making me roll my eyes.

"Now,I really think you're stalking me.What the hell are you doing here?"

"No,I should be the one asking you that question. What the hell are you doing in a cemetery?" He stares at me with what I assume to be...keen interest.

'Well Kaven you wouldn't want me to begin my long story' I want to say.Instead,I sigh at a loss of words...I think.

"So,do you now believe we're bound to meet everywhere,Louella Walker?" He smirks again and I roll my eyes.

"What were you saying anyway?

"Nevermind" I shrug and start to walk away but the way he chuckles is enough to stop me in my tracks.

"What?"I blurt

"You were saying something about your car having a flat tyre weren't you?"

"I said,I don't need your help.Why do you care?" I raise a brow

"I don't. You're just amusing and stubborn."

"Excuse me?"

" Come on Ella,you're either going to allow me help you out or you can stand here and wait for the next hour or two until another person comes around. And, you can't be sure of getting help so stop being stubborn and lemme help you out" I hate to admit but he has a point there.

"I can find a mechanic around" I shrug and he gives me an amused look before shaking his head.

"Where's your car?" Where's that smirk he usually gives me and where form this concerned look? My finger points across the road automatically and he nods

I'm amazed at how professional he looks fixing my tyre.

"Done!"He sighs before getting on his feet.His shirt looks like hell!

"Thank you" I mutter and he waves me off. Staring at his shirt,I'm tempted to apologise.

"I'd have helped you with that shirt or something but I didn't ask for your help so..."I flip my hair and he laughs.

"I bet you did.You asked me to help not Kaven"

"I appreciate what you've done for me though,thanks a lot"I smile and he returns it. I've never seen him smile,at least,I've never noticed it.

" Okay,I think it's high time we did a proper introduction...Hi,I'm Kaven" He extends his arm with a smile

" Louella"

"Nice meeting you" He says and I roll my eyes.

"Rather,nice stalking you" I correct him and he chuckles.

Why does he always have a smirk plastered on his face? My eyes roll at the thought of it

"Why do you enjoy rolling your eyes all the time?" What?

"Excuse me,just because you helped me out today doesn't mean you can ask a hundred and one question.Okay?" I warn

"Well,I think I deserve an answer to this question at least.You'd be stuck in the cemetery but for me."He gives me that smirk again and I roll my eyes before attempting to walk away.

My legs betray me and I know I'm colliding with the floor.I'm proven wrong when a pair of strong arms catch me.

"You can open your eyes and breathe now Ella"I hadn't noticed I was holding my breath..As soon as I catch my breath,I push him aside.

"How dare you hold me!"

"Maybe,when you learn to walk without tripping,I could stop catching you" He retorts.

Gosh! He's such an asshole
