Part 3 During the vacation, they grew closer—both emotionally and physically. In vacation time, Aaron would often come to her house and spend time with her parents. “Uncle, our class is going on a tour. Please allow Jenny to come with us,” Aaron would ask her father. Her father would never give an immediate “yes,” but when Jenny’s mother asked, she would somehow convince him. With their permission, Jenny and Aaron went on many trips, often spending time alone. Jenny’s mother loved Aaron dearly too, because he was the reason she could always see her daughter smiling. One night, Aaron came to see her at Jenny’s house. As usual, Jenny’s phone rang—it was Aaron. She answered quietly because everyone at home had already gone to bed. “Hello, aren’t you sleepy yet?” she asked softly. “No, I’m outside your house. Open the door,” Aaron said. “No, that’s not possible! If Mom or Dad wakes up… Why did you even come now? Go home and come tomorrow.” “I can’t, Jenny. I won’t leave until I see you.” “Then you stand near the window. I’ll open it, and you can see me from there.” “Then no need to open. I’ll lie down on the sit-out. Or maybe I should ring the bell?” “No, no! Please go away. I’m scared Dad will wake up.” “He won’t. Just come slowly and open the door.” Jenny tiptoed carefully and opened the front door. Aaron slipped in quietly, and she closed the door behind him. Then she called him to her room. Suddenly, Aaron remembered something. “Oh no, I forgot. My shoes are lying outside in the front. I should go get them.” “No, no. I’ll take them.” She went quietly, brought the shoes inside, and left them in her room before closing the door again. After five minutes, Jenny whispered, “You saw me, right? Now leave.” “What are you saying? Give me a kiss first…” “Aaron, go. This is not right.” She sat down on the bed. Aaron came near her, leaned closer, and brought his face towards hers. Just when he was about to kiss her, a sudden sound came from outside. They quickly pulled apart, startled. After a moment, Aaron held her tightly and kissed her. At first, she resisted, but soon she melted into it. That night, Aaron couldn’t leave. He fell asleep right there beside her. Part 4 The next morning, at dawn, Jennifer woke up and saw Aaron sleeping right beside her. His shirt was lying on the floor. She was completely nervous, not knowing what to do. She stood there for a while, thinking. Then she heard her mother’s voice calling, “Jenny, aren’t you awake yet?” Panicking, she shook Aaron. “Aaron, wake up. It’s morning. Aaron…” No matter how many times she called, he wouldn’t wake up. He just turned from side to side in his sleep. She couldn’t call him loudly either. Confused and worried, she stood there looking at him. If she didn’t go outside, her mother would become suspicious. So, she quickly locked the room and went out. When she reached her mother, her face clearly showed nervousness, embarrassment, and tension. Seeing that, her mother asked, “What’s wrong, Jenny? Why do you look so pale? Are you unwell?” Her mother even checked if she had a fever. “No, Mom. Nothing serious. Just a slight headache,” Jenny said, brushing it off and slipping away to freshen up. After some time, she came back, had breakfast, and carried some cold water with her to her room. She thought, If he still doesn’t wake up when I call, I’ll sprinkle water on his face. When she entered, she called him a few more times. After two or three calls, Aaron slowly opened his eyes. The moment he saw Jennifer standing in front of him, he was shocked. Looking around, he realized it wasn’t his own room. He jumped up quickly and searched for his shirt on the bed. Jenny handed it to him. As he put it on, he said nervously, “Sorry, I fell asleep last night. (suddenly tensed) I need to go home now.” “I told you yesterday itself not to stay. You didn’t listen,” Jenny said. “Okay, okay. I admit it was my mistake. But how do I go out now? You tell me a way.” “Alright, alright. You freshen up here. I’ll go check if anyone’s outside—where Mom is, whether Dad has gone. I’ll come and tell you.” She left, locked the room behind her, and looked around the house. Her mom was in the kitchen, and her dad was nowhere to be seen. Feeling relieved, she went back to the room, unlocked it, and called Aaron out. He came out slowly, holding his shoes in his hand. When they reached outside, he placed his shoes on the floor and bent to wear them. Just then, Jennifer’s father entered the house. Both of them froze. “Aaron, when did you come?” her father asked. Aaron, completely nervous and fumbling for words, stammered, “I… I was just leaving. I… I just came now.” Jennifer quickly jumped in and answered for him, “Dad, Aaron just came now.” But seeing Aaron putting on his shoes, her father looked at him with suspicion.
