# **Crimson Kisses: The Final Part**
### **The Storm Before the Calm**
Liam kissed her like a man who had spent every moment of their time apart regretting his choices.
As he cupped her face and drew her closer, as if he feared she would flee, rain clung to his skin and hair, dripping between them. Elena wanted to resist. wished to push him back and ask for clarification—why he had left and why he believed he could simply return and expect her to fall in love with him. She knew the truth, however, when he moved his lips over hers, hungry and desperate. She had a burning desire for him all her life. Not for a single moment.
She fisted his damp shirt, dragging him inside without breaking the kiss. The door slammed shut behind them, muffling the sounds of the storm outside.
Liam pressed her against the wall, his breath ragged. “Tell me to leave.”
Elena swallowed hard, her fingers tangled in his curls.
She ought to. But she didn’t.
Instead, she whispered, “Tell me you won’t run this time.”
His jaw contracted. He rested his forehead against hers, his hands gripping her waist like she was the only thing keeping him upright.
He said, "I'm tired of running." Her chest tightened. "Then demonstrate it." Liam exhaled, his lips ghosting over hers, softer this time. “Let me.”
They found themselves once more lost in each other. ### **Love, Unspoken**
This time, it wasn’t frantic, wasn’t desperate.
This time, Liam took his time.
He kissed her slowly, deeply, learning her all over again. He moved his hands over her skin with such reverence that it gave her chills as his lips trailed down her neck. Re-discovering the man who had taken her breath the first night, Elena clung to him, responding to each touch with her own. But there was something different now.
Something fragile.
Like he was afraid if he let go, she’d disappear.
And maybe, in some way, she was just as scared.
Because Liam had always been a fire—dangerous, beautiful, impossible to control. And she had never been sure if he would burn for her… or leave her in ashes.
She did, however, realize tonight as his hands traced every inch of her body like he was trying to memorize her as he whispered her name against her lips. For the first time, Liam wasn't just taking. He was charitable. And when they collapsed together, tangled in sheets and sweat and whispered promises, she finally let herself believe.
Maybe this time, he would stay.
### **The Dawn of Something New**
Elena woke to the scent of coffee.
Her heart clenched, fear creeping in.
Was he back on his way? She sat up, pulling the sheets around her, her breath caught in her chest.
However, then— Two cups of coffee and no shirt, Liam appeared in the doorway. He smirked. “Relax, I didn’t burn it this time.”
She let out a breathless laugh, relief washing over her. "When I taste it, I'll believe that." Liam set the cups down, then sat beside her, his fingers tracing lazy circles on her knee. “You’re staring.”
She arched a brow. “Can you blame me?”
His smirk softened. “You’re still here.”
Elena studied him, her heart pounding. “So are you.”
Silence stretched between them, but it wasn’t uncomfortable.
Putting a strand of hair behind her ear as he reached out, Liam “I don’t have all the answers, Elena.”
She swallowed. I don't need every response. I just need to know you’re not going to disappear on me.”
Liam hesitated—just for a moment—before nodding. “I’m here.”
Her chest tightened.
She wasn’t naive. She knew Liam still carried his ghosts. Knew that loving him wouldn’t always be easy.
But as he leaned in, brushing his lips over hers—soft, steady, like a promise—she also knew one thing.
For the first time, Liam wasn’t running.
And neither was she.
