I did not know what the heck Caleb saw in Valerie, but he was after her like a dog, wagging his tail and following her everywhere. Ugh. The sight was disgusting. Everyone seemed bothered if she had eaten or slept, and I could not care less.
It was a late night, and I knew Caleb wouldn't care if I would step out of the house, given he rarely visited my room or even my wing. I slowly walked down the stairs, not wanting to wake up anyone, and carefully avoided the cameras to sneak out of the house.
He was wary to come here and meet me in Caleb’s territory, but he forgot one golden rule: no one looks into their own house. It was the safest place that could be because Caleb would never expect him to meet me here.
