Chapter 26: MannforWAKING UP IS not fun. I’m all twisted and knotted up in a blanket, the fabric sweat-damp and gritty. It’s like I’ve been slurping sour fog, my mouth sharp and fuzzy at the same time, my tongue swollen and heavy. I should probably roll over and see if I can press down the queasiness, but even the slightest twitch makes my head pound and the room spin. I swallow hard, eyeing the distance to the facilities—a distance that rolls and stretches as I peer along its warping length. Will the misery be worth it? Do I have a choice? As it turns out, no.
