Hazel’s POV
I woke up early to help Lucas prepare for his business trip. I knew he was capable of sorting himself out but I wanted to help. I was also feeling guilty about the way I behaved some time back and not giving him a positive feedback. He had not said anything more about the two situations and I had not bothered to broach them. This was because I did not know what to say to make him feel better. I had not made a stand yet. We were aware of the eventuality but we decided to stall.
“Enjoy your trip.” I bid him farewell. I was standing at the door.
He turned, looked at me and smiled before asking, “Are you not going to hug me?”
I blushed before leaning in for a hug. “That’s my girl.” He said as he ruffled my hair. “Please take care of the children. And yourself, okay
