I decided to let Angelica play in the playroom inside the building. I have been busy this past week with several endorsements and photo shoots, so I wanted to make it up to my daughter.
However, we hadn't been there long when Angelica suddenly shouted, "Dad..." and to my surprise, Nick was there.
He was even carrying a medium-sized white teddy bear.
"Is that teddy mine, Dad?" Angelica asked him cutely.
"Of course, princess. I missed you," he said, even crouching down to hand over the gift. I saw the joy on my daughter's face, so even though I wanted to forbid Nick, I just looked away. "Go play, princess," he encouraged Angelica, who immediately ran to the large playpen nearby.
"What are you doing here again?"
"Huh? I live here now."
"What?"
"The unit at the end of the 12th floor.
