My heart was pounding hard. It was my first day at St. Augustine University. "Baby, you're too nervous," my Godfather said. I turned to look at him; I thought he was focused on driving. We returned to Brookfield last week because he said he had things to take care of at the office. But it turned out he just wanted to have me all to himself before classes started. We even went on a two-day vacation to Harbor City, and my Godfather had me apply for a passport. He said it was so he could take me with him whenever he traveled abroad. "This is so tense, Godfather.
