I stare at him as he watches the movie. He grins at something the characters say and looks at me to see if I heard it. I roll my eyes when he complains that I'm not paying attention. I put my hand between us and he nudges it with his own. I look at him to see if he was trying to gain my attention only to find him wriggling his eyebrows as he holds his hand out. I sigh and extend my own, allowing our fingers to interlock. He rubs circles on the back of my hand with his thumb and I stare at our intertwined hands with a smile. Rather than breaking our hold for a second, he twists his entire body to grab a soda with his free hand. I snort in laughter as something cracks and he looks down at his torso in a worried state.
