Aaron’s POV The sight of Saphira tearing into the food broke something inside me. She ate with the kind of desperation that made my heart ache. The echo of her chewing was all I could hear in the cold, moldy basement. The space was damp and rank, a place no one should have been forced to live, let alone someone like Saphira.
