Ayomi Ocasu's POV "What's the analysis on our course, Ms. Ocasu?" The Captain said. I checked the density and alignment of the meteors around Delta III* and the Omi-Alpha Exploration Ship*. "We should be all clear to voyage foward towards Delta III unless the meteors in it's proximity shifts, Captain Gerald." I stated. The ship successfully traveled to Delta III, a elegrinium storm* started on Delta III causing the meteors to head towards us, and the Captain moved the ship away from there path. "How far away are we from the mining point*?" The Captain asked. "Nine hundred and eighty feet away, sir." I respond. "Prepare the minotrone*." The Captain orders. "The gears are stuck, it will have to be done manually." I informed. "Fine, get into your Omeca-mechines*." The Captain replied. "Yes, captain." Lieutenant Jeri responded. Captain and Lieutenant Jeri got out their chairs and floated towards the implantation chambers*. "Ms. Ocasu, let's go." The Captain requested. "Me? But I do cosmogeology* and data analysis. I don't have experience in Omeca-mechines." I stammer. I followed them to the implantation chambers and Lieutenant Jeri chuckled. "What was your score for the placement test*?" Lieutenant questioned. "It was okay." I murmured. "So, what was it? It was never announced. So, now I'm curious." Lieutenant inquired. "Nothing special." I state. "Oh, come on. Give me a hint." Lieutenant pleaded. "It was far from the average*. Sadly." I said. "Oh, well you will do fine." Lieutenant stated. "But, I haven't been in one ever and I only had less than 120 hours in the simulator." I ramble. "It won't be that difficult. You will only be observing, hopefully." Captain grumbled. We got into the chambers, I took a deep breath, and it backed up all my memories. My mind was implanted into the Omeca-machine, I looked around me, I was outside the ship, and I looked at my current host. It was white and had no gaps. "I've forgotten how things look from this size." I marveled. "Well, get over it." Captain whined. "Yes, sir." I mumble. "That hunk of junk is from your father. A very old model probably, even when he got it. You won't see any Omeca-mechines anywhere that underrated." Captain mused. I frowned and Lieutenant Jeri laughed. They were both in the best Omeca-mechines on the market, theirs were advanced and costs alot of money. They were so vain and rude. "Come on, let's get to the minotrone." Lieutenant stated. They moved swiftly towards it while I floated around slowly getting close to the minotrone. "Slow poke, let's go. Stop messing around!" Captain yelled. I tried to remember how to move in this host but I couldn't focus. All I could think about was monitoring the storms. Lieutenant Jeri grabbed my arm and harshly pulled me to the minotrone. The sat on the two seats on the drill while I grabbed on to it for my life and they started piloting it towards the mining point. They steered through the meteors and I was scared out of my mind. "If you die in a Omeca-machine your mind will be brought back to your body, remember." Lieutenant spoke. "Yes, sir." I state. "When will the next storm hit?" Captain interrogated. "Fifteen minutes, judging by the planet's condition." I literated. "Great. Let's go dig up some elegrinte*." Lieutenant animated. They set up the minotrone and it dug a hole to the elegrinte. They went into the hole, I floated around the hole, and they faced me. "Get down here, now!" Captain ordered. "Yes, sir." I complied. I floated down the hole, we continued down the hole while I monitor the time until another storm and the planet's condition. They spot the elegrinte, I saw some irregular activities happening just below us, and I realised that a elegrinium storm is getting ready to start. "Let's get this aboard the ship." Captain instructed. "We don't have enough time." I warn. "I thought you said we had fifteen minutes." "The minotrone may have caused a disruption to the elegrinte's energy waves." "Damn, you! Let's retreat." Captain complained. They fled the hole with me slowly trailing behind, the elegrinte's energy sparks started shooting up the hole, and I looked back to see the elegrinte's energy rushing up the hole. "The storm is right behind us!" I panicked. "No, it's right behind you!" Lieutenant sneered. They sped up, I went as fast as I could, and they snickered. They made it out the hole, went straight towards the ship, and I went as fast as I could. I made it out the hole just in time to get out the way of the blast but it pushed me into the meteors. They looked back, laughed, and put the Omeca-mechines back in there hangers. I moved through the meteors and tried to get back to my body but it didn't work. I saw the pod that contains my body and I started moving towards it but I was too slow so it keep moving away from me. The ship started leaving me behind, I started panicking, and tried to go faster to get to my body. The ship was very far away and the pod was still moving farther and farther away from me. I kept trying to get to it, moving around meteors, and I tried to calm myself down. A meteor came towards me, it hit me from behind gently, and I turned around. I saw a ship with people in Omeca-mechines, they were looking at me, and the one in a black came towards me. "What are you doing here?" He questioned. "I'm a cosmogeology student at The Exploration Academy of Galamara. I was on the Omi-Alpha Exploration Ship, with Captain Gerald and Lieutenant Jeri. We went to retrieve the elegrinte from that planet, when the storm came early due to the drill, and they left me behind." I explained. "Come aboard our ship." He uttered. "You mean my ship, Reed! You can't invite a stranger onto my ship!" The guy in light blue yelled. "What could go wrong, Charles?" Reed confidently stated. "Fine, but if you are wrong you leave along with her." Charles told him. "Charles, go easy on him please. He's-" The female in dark purple pleaded. "No, it's fine. Thanks for trying to help, Trinity. But I'm fine with these conditions." Reed stated calmly. "Oh, um. You don't have to do this if it could be a burden on you." "Don't be ridiculous. This isn't a burden, miss." "Thank you. Umm... Could grab my body over there, please?" "Okay." "Thank you." He retrieved it for me and led me back to Charles' ship. We all got in, they led me to a room with monitors, and they closed all their information. "Why did they ditch you and your body?" "I don't know." "They must have had a reason." "I didn't do anything wrong. I just made a error in my caluations." "That couldn't be the reason." "Whatever the reason is welcome aboard, miss." "My name is Ayomi Ocasu. It's a pleasure to meet you." "It's my pleasure, I'm Reed." "Trinity." "None of your business." "Ch-" "Shut up." "I'm sorry about him." "No, it's okay. I understand, I'm not wanted here. I won't be here long anyways." "Great. Trinity and I will go collect that elegrinte. Reed, you will babysit your new friend." They left us two here, Reed put my pod on a walkway by the monitors, and faced the door. I sat down and went back to my body. I opened my eyes, got out the pod, and stretched. "I'm sorry." "It's fine, Ms. Ocasu." "You can just call me Ayomi." "Sure." He turned towards me, I looked towards the monitor, and looked back at him. He sat in a corner and looked the other way. I went to the monitor and tried to find our specific location but it started beeping loudly. He got up, stopped the alarm, and sighed. "I'm sorry." "It's fine. He put an alarm on it and I don't know the password. You will have to wait." "Okay." So I sat there and waited. They came back, they brought the elegrinte somewhere, and came back to this room. "Why did the alarm go off?" "I'm sorry, I only wanted to check what our exact location is." "Don't touch my equipment. We will bring you as close as possible without straying to far off our course. Got that." "Yes, sir." With that the started to pilot the ship to Galamara.
