I froze in shock recognizing the voice; it was Cole's.
"Cole" I turned to face him.
"Wow" he chuckled, hands akimbo "who would have thought that you are married to a Carter. If not that I heard it from Sebastian's own mouth".
I just watched him silently.
"How did you do it, Amy? cos I know he's such a good catch and a lot of women would love some pointers because, of course, you should know you're not the only woman in his life and when a man has f****d certain women like Beverly Reed the chances of him going back are very high; she's that good" he taunted.
Being with Sebastian has taught me a lot of tact, emotion check and the ability to detect people who are willing to go any length just to blackmail you emotionally and that is exactly what Cole was trying to do.
