Unforgiving

After the bath I picked out a blue chiffon dress and joined the king and William in the dinning room, I don't know where the dress came from, but the dress was perfect, the only drawback was the low cut neck, it exposed too much cleavage, I think it's also as a result of the dress's bust being undersized, except that it's a lovely dress.

I exited my room and started heading in the direction we came from earlier.

"trying to find your way?" Rose spoke from behind me.

"oh, yeah... the house is pretty huge" the woman must be a ghost

"you can say that again" I tried not to smile knowing what my last thought was

"now if you'd come with me" she took the lead "the dinning room is on the second floor" I followed closely behind.

we came to a huge ornate door, the footman held the door open for us to walk in.

the king stood up from his table immediately I made my entrance "My lady, you look stunning, please take your seat" he gestured to the chair on his left side "now forgive me... but I have to leave, I wish I could return before the dinner is over, but I know better... if you'd allow me" and who am I not to.

he came to my side and I bowed slightly, he returned the courtesy and exited the room.

Rose pulled my arm lightly and brought me to the chair the king gestured to earlier which also happens to be the chair directly opposite William's, I met William's eyes across the table.

"hello" i expected his response but for some reasons this guy gave none, rather he hastily averted his gaze.

focusing on his plate, one would think I am not in the room, he is just so full of himself.

*WILLIAM'S POV*

Eliza made her way towards the table, wearing the most sinful dress I've ever seen, I almost dropped my fork when she came in front of me, the exposed cleavage does a lot of things to my imagination, who allowed this woman to wear something like this.

I want to peel that dress off her body so I can satisfy my lust, i want to feel the texture of her skin on mine.

I gritted my teeth, what am I doing, she's a total stranger, I adjusted in my seat and tried as much as I can to not look at her, that's the only way I can stay sane for now.

I concentrated on my plate of steak, she sat quietly and started eating as well, one time I raised my head a bit, to steal a glance at her while making sure she didn't notice.

"so what is it like to leave in a place like this?" she suddenly asked.

"what do you think it would look like" I regretted my choice of words immediately.

I didn't mean to come off as a jerk, but I guess I'm really loosing my tree's, to randomly respond to people in that kind of manner.

"I sincerely didn't mean to yell at you the other time, please forgive me" she stared directly at me

i dropped my fork gently "no its okay, you don't have to apologise"

" are we good" she smiled and that smile did all weird kind of things to me, it made her look like a willing partner.

"just stay away from me, it's probably for the best" I forcibly said

"but I thought you just said we're good" she countered

"yes I did, but I didn't say we should become friends,.... look" I shut my eyes for a quick moment "I don't know you, and you've been doing fine before I know you, so I'm positive you'd be okay even when we don't talk" she pouted, I know she has something to say, she's only trying to restrain herself from saying it.

"and this has nothing to do with my status" I continued then picked my fork and started eating again.

she adjusted in her chair and leaned in a little closer "I didn't ask to be your friend too, but something tell me you haven't forgiven me as you claimed..., you know what?... nevermind"

I raised my eyes to meets her but stopped halfway, now that she's leaning over, I was faced directly with her chest.

I made a guttural sound and swallowed

"you don't have to say anything" she shrugged and sat back down

"if you'd excuse me" I stood up "I'm done here" I stood up to leave the room "and maybe next time you can get something more decent to wear" I made my exit then.

*ELIZA'S POV*

"DECENT?, what does he mean decent" the cloth was given to me in this household and he's talking to me about decency, I should have threw the dish at his head this time.

he his such a jerk that doesn't consider what others around him are feeling, the little time I've known him I've come to know him as a self-centred man.

now my mood is entirely ruined, I picked my fork and started to eat.

"you don't have to attack the steak like that" Rose suddenly spoke up, making me realize she was still with us in the dinning room, for a moment there I didn't even see her at all.

"oh, I'm sorry" I stutter

"it's fine, William is a tough one, he his headstrong and trust me when I say I've had my share of that strong will" she took the chair beside me.

"but on the inside he soft and gentle, you'd get to see that side of him later on" I stopped myself from scoffing, William just doesn't fit that description.

starting from when he picked me up and carried me down to the Inn even against my own will, then there's that issue of him being unable to forgive people.

she put a hand on my knee "let me know if you need anything" I had the feeling that she was about saying something entirely different before changing her mind.

I finished up shortly after Rose left, I made my way back to the room I was given, the only two nice people here are occupied at the moment, I won't seat around to get into another argument with that daredevil, I might as well take a daytime nap, it's much needed after all the stress my body has been through in the last couple of weeks.

I swung the door opened and headed for the fluffy bed, I fell on it face flat, ah...., I never imagined having a good bed can make a person this excited.

I tossed and turned a few times, I woke up when I heard a soft knock on my door, I didn't even know when I fell asleep, the room was beginning to get dark, I stood up reluctantly and went to answer the door.

Rose and a younger woman with a tray in hand stood at my doorstep, "oh, hello"

" Eliza,..... it's dinner time already but i see you've been trying to rest up, the king didn't want us to bring you down to the dinning room if you were tired" Rose motioned for the other lady to move forward

"you'd be needing this later, you might not know it yet but you'd thank me later" the lady swept past me with a tray stacked with food and a tea kettle.

"how about if I thank you now?, now that I'm awake I feel hungry " I supplied with a stretch

Rose smiled sweetly "then there's this" she proceeded to light the lamps in the room, after she was done with a look of content on her face she bid me goodnight.

I sat and poured myself a cup of tea, which I sipped while I sat by the windows watching the clouds grew darker, for a moment I let myself revisit my previous life, it wasn't always dark out like this in that timeline, the street would have been lit up by different colours of light.

I let a tear roll down my cheek, for the first time I really took the time to look back on where I came from and where I am presently, the two situations are a far cry.

here I live off other people, just like a lice, even if the people I stayed with at first didn't treat me bad, I still know its never going to be the same, and it might just get worse where I am now.

don't get me wrong the king is a nice person but I doubt I can keep up with his son, and just like every parent would choose their child before someone else's, I'm afraid not to get on William's bad side and eventually get kicked out.

then I'd be alone, completely alone for the first in this timeline, I stood up and went to the food tray, stress eating has always been my thing, while eating I allowed my mind to wander around.

then it struck me, an idea that I can't see it's feasibility yet, but it won't hurt me to try, I don't think I have much access to things here at the moment and it's only been a day, but I'd sure give it a shot.

then I heard a small sound, I froze... so I can listen, I sure hope its not a rat, then the sound came again, now I am sure of where the sound was coming from, it was a doorknob been rattled, my doorknob to be precise.
