Chapter 11: MalakiI haven’t been in the Detainment Center long, but I’m already more freaked out than I have ever been in my life. After hours of torture by John Patriot, the same man who tortured my mom and Serenity, he finally leaves and I’m wheeled out of the room on a cart by a woman in a white nurse’s uniform. I am rolled down dark, gray corridors into an elevator. The lights and walls here are so bright. I cover my face with my good arm. The other hangs uselessly by my side, shoulder dislocated. I notice that the woman, the first female I’ve seen here, is just as pale as the man who tortured me, but she has blonde hair and Patriot has brown hair.
