Twenty year now.

James was packing the wood that is to be used to cook for the deadly Alpha, he has serve for seven years now. He despise him a lot, but the pack was filled with what he can't explain. He heard the Alpha daughter is returning after seven years. He wonder how he hasn't met her because he has been here since seven years ago.

He has been in search of his mate for seven years but all the girls around him are just normal girls. No string attached.

He pieces the final wood, when his wolf become restless. He try calming himself, that is something he has learn to do thought out his stay there so he won't create awareness for himself.

His wolf begin to draw him closer to the beautiful maiden the royal carriage just brought in, he moved closer and was stunned to see the lost beautiful lady he has ever set his eyes upon. Her skin was glamour and glowing, he could not describe her fully due to the fact that his eyes has cannot ponder on what he see straight away. He was about to move closer when his wolf growl lightly inside him.

"Mine, we finally meet our mate." He stressed on the word mate and he was stunned.

He gain conscious when the beautiful lady came down and he heard the maid rush to her and started treating her like a Luna. He realizes she is the daughter of the man that wipe his family away.

"Don't let that get to you. Can't you see our mate is innocent from her look. " my wolf said and I saw her standing in front of me.

"You, did you realizes who I am? and your status here?" She said nonchalantly and everyone was surprised. I haven't said anything apart from talking to my wolf though the mind. I thought of it and realizes she can feel it too.

"Am sorry." I whispered slowly.

"I want him to be my personal guard from today henceforth." She said and everyone nodded.

"I can see my beautiful daughter has grow a lot." A voice interrupted, it is this deadly man I have been plotting on how to wipe him and his family off.

"Let talk things out at night." She mindlink me and I was surprise about what she said. I did not know what to do maybe I should reply. My wolf kept giggling like a hunter that just catch a big prey.

Thirteen years back

The environment was buzzing with laughter and joy, giving it a serenity of peace and laughter, there was no sign of anyone been a disturbance in the society, the children were seen playing a stone game, each throwing a stone at each other, there were at least ten children who were skipping with ropes making the view relaxing, the village is a peaceful one, different building were located at every corner giving a space at the middle, where some men were sitted playing a gamble against each other, the women were busy with various activities. James was playing with other children in the pack house. His dad was a free type he dosent care if he is a Alpha, he relate with everyone equally.. With his green eyes which made his face to look more beautiful, bringing out the color of his face, together with his thicked eye brows, a long eye lashes protruding out from the socket of his eyes, with short gold hair , which made him looked different from others, more like a god. Charlotte his younger sister, seems to take over his features except from the masculine shape and her tiny waist that fit perfectly and her hips, she had almost the same been eyes with him, but hers was a light green, making her look beautiful like a mermaid, but instead, her hair was brown, and these made them look outstanding.

"Charlotte, that mine, is my golden sword which indicate am a Alpha" He said to his sister who take the molden sword posing like an Alpha.

"I mould it, you can mould one for yourself. And who tell you I can't be the Alpha." She smirk back at him imitating his pose.

"I may be the Luna of a great pack. Who know." She said rolling her eyes. She talks so mature even at her age

"Is time for dinner My Alpha and My Luna." Their personal maid said to them playfully. She is use to calling them that since that is what they argue about almost all the time.

But who knew that the next day was going to be what no one ever imagined.

" Father, Father, you are back" James said hugging her Father so much, Charlotte came, stood at the end of the wall and was sulking, Charlotte turned towards her broter then turning back to her Father,

"Father, Charlotte is sulking again, she is about to cry" he said turning towards her sister

"Charlotte my princess, come hug daddy, he missed you so much" The man with a brown hair and red eyes said, walking towards the daughter, she ran with a full force and hugged her Father.

"Papa, I missed you" She said biting her fingers and feeling shy for trying to cry

"You are my princess, you know that right" Charlotte nod her head at his words, she is really her papa's princess.

He went for a pack meeting since two days now and he is just coming back. News have been spreading that rogue are invading our land and some warriors were found lifeless at the border.

He said walking towards the kitchen, to meet his wife. He could see his wife standing over the sink and washing the dishes.

" Hello sweetheart, I missed you so much" He said still carrying Charlotte, who was adamant to remain clinging on his body. He hugged his wife and gave her a kiss on her forehead.

"Ewww" Charlotte said closing her eyes, she could see their parents love each other.

James came to the kitchen, then began dragging her dad's hand back to the sitting room, Charlotte still sitting on the dads neck.

"Darling, can I have a food" he said, He liked the way his home is full of joy and happiness. And his pack is united. Is right man has always been his brother Neo who has always been there for him.

They all say down, having dinner, half way through the dinner, they heard shouts from outside. Panic was evident on everyone's faces, then they started hearing screams of people, it was getting louder and louder, Alpha Luke stood up, walking towards the door, he opened the door slightly, what he saw was terrible, the pack had turned to a living hell, dead bodies littered everywhere all over the ground, some houses were already on fire, how did these happened within a short while.

"They are here" He whispered, closing the door quickly,

"You have to leave here immediately"

"The black eye pack are here?" James's mom asked, feeling so scared, dragging her children with her

"Who are the black eye pack" james said feeling so scared

"They are some group of wicked pack, they attack other pack just for power and land, he is here fir something. James keep this golden sword. now don't ask me further questions, you have to leave here" he said, feeling the need to turn to protect his children, and his pack at the same time. He pick the moulded golden sword and he pushed them at corner of the room.

"Charlotte, when I say run, just run along with your brother." Their mum said now feeling the more need to turn to protect her kids.

"But mum won't you come along with us"

James said feeling scared to leave her mum behind, and her father who has gone out to fight.

"I will come, just follow through the exit, we will try to create a barrier to prevent them from getting In here so easily"

James's mum said, walking towards the door, feeling conflicted, she went to her children, leaving the task for her husband, she went back to where her kids were, removing some blocks from the ground, there was an underground there, james never knew of these, their mum entered first to remove the weapons which were in her way, then she told Charlotte to jump in, then that was when they heard a thud on the door, they were here, they were in their house trying to barge in. Thank God for the barrier, Charlotte jumped In immediately, james was about to jump in the underground when the door opened, he looked up, he saw the most dreadful Alpha, they were so deadly filled with ugly eyes and disgusting smell, with their huge silver Axe, he was scared, not knowing what to do, to protect his parents and sister, he ran, he ran so fast as his legs could carry him, he heard her papa's voice screaming for her to run faster.

"James, James, please, run, I love you, protect it." He heard his father's voice said. Turning back. He saw a head on the floor, it was his father's head rolling on the floor. A loud scream escaped his lips, he saw his mother already out from the underground, but he could not find his sister, she shook with fear, were they going to kill his mother too. But he heard his mother's voice, telling him to run away, far away from them.

"Run, James run, save your self my son"

Clara shouted at her son, that was enough to bring James back to his senses, he ran as fast as his leg could carry him, he turn back and see her mum in the pool of her blood. The deadly Alpha was holding the moulded golden sword. Tears roll down his eyes as he continue running, his leg was heavy, he could not believe his parent die before him. He was unable to protect his younger sister and just flee that way he pray she is alive.
