KISMET (Sequence 1)

PROLOGUE

She's the lamb of the gods, a child born with the mark of the full moon.

Predestined to protect the realm and restore the peace of her land..

Despite being favoured by the gods, she was also cursed to meet a fatal end on the first full moon night after the blood moon.

To restore the peace of the land, the marked one should retrieve the octavis (moon shell) before the blood moon and must be sacrificed as a lamb offering on the crisping of the first full moon after the blood moon., Failure to retrieve the octavis before the blood moon will incure the wrath of the moon goddess and invoke the anger of the realm king (gods)....

KIRA'S POV

How can the gods cursed the one person they favoured with a great task..??

How can they foretell my end before my beginning..??

How can they condemn me for a crime I did not commit..??

Why would the goddess give life to me and snatch it away from me..??

This is my story, of how unjust the gods were on me...

But I was always just to gods..

I worshipped the goddess with all my heart and soul.

I prayed and honoured all her festival...

I sang only of her worship and praises...

I was a true servant of the moon goddess...

But she was never true to me..

She condemned me to die!!!
