CHAPTER 4

PREVIOUSLY ON KISMET

I heard a lovely voice singing...

Something within me changed..

It was as if, I was hypnotized by the voice, I began to turn my face around slowly as I heard them shouting at me not to turn around...

I lost total control over my body.

All I could feel the sensation of that lovely voice..

It was calling for me...

And I'm determined to answer...

KIRA'S POV

Just as I slowly turn towards the direction of the voice, my neck became stiff..

I tried moving my neck but it was stiff..

I tried moving my body but I could not..

It was as if I was glued to that position...

The Pull to answer the lovely voice was very strong but my body has a mind of its own...

It refused to obey the voice...

I couldn't fathom what my people were saying but they're lips was moving but I couldn't hear them...

'what is wrong with me..?'

Wait!!!

I shouldn't turn my back until I've finalize this ritual..

Why am I listening to that enticing voice..???

It'll only lead me to my death...

Finally regaining my senses, the sensation from the voice gradually faded off...

I was set free from the enchantment...

And the voice faded off with a loud agonizing scream...

My people cheered happily..

As I took bold steps to the high priestess...

The sound of drumming filled the air..

As the servant of the high priestess began to sing and dance...

"It was successful..."The high priestess announced and I smiled at my victory...

Strong wave of dizziness hit me hard and I fell down..

I was hoping to fall on the floor but strong arms caught me..

A very familiar fragrance..

"Coco!!"I breathed out before darkness consumed me instantaneously..

TIGARD'S POV

"I can't thank you enough for saving my sister..." I spoke up after everyone had stepped out of the room...

"You don't need to thank me.. I would do anything for her..."Coco replied staring loving at her pale body....

"How long have you loved her...?"I found myself asking him curiously...

"As long as I knew the word love existed.. But I think I was around 9 or 10..."he replied...

"But you know she doesn't feel that way towards you, why don't you look for someone else rather than hoping on her..?"

"Because my heart only beat for her... I can't look at another maiden the way I look at her... I don't see what I see in her in another.. I don't care if she does not bear my seed, I just wanna be with her even if she doesn't feel the same way for me..

All these years I've realized that she'll never look at me the way I want her to...

But I don't mind... I just want to hold a little importance in her life.."

"You're whipped my friend.... I've never seen a crazy lover like you... If I were a girl, I would have begged you to mate with me...

Why does Kira have to get all the lucky and amazing men in the world...?"

NELLIE'S POV (GODDESS OF LIFE AND MORTALS)

"Lord Lad.. I forbade you from seeing my daughter but you went down to earth to pay her a visit... Why would you go against my command...?"

"You hold no control over my movement, my lady... But as per your daughter... She called for me herself...

She wanted to be with me...

What wrong did I commit by answering the princess call..?"Lad asked smirking mischievously...

"She's human and doesn't understand how things work in this realm...

Stay away from her...."I commanded...

"I'm sorry but I'm afraid I can't do that.... I'm quite smitten by her and you can't deny me my Kamerad (mate)..."

"Did you cast any spell on Lord Lad..??? Because he claims to be smitten by my daughter..."I asked Zakaria calmly..

"I wouldn't dare.... I don't misuse my spell like that.... I told you, I've learnt to allow nature has Its course... Spells are only needed to add more live and meaning to love...

That fragrance was from Lord Lad... I was thinking he was infertile..."Zakaria laughed happily...

"You're dismissed.."I snapped at her interrupting her hilarious laugher....

"How rude... Pay me a visit soon.. Lord Lad."She disappeared....

"I told you she isn't just some ecstasy.... She's my Kamerad (mate)...."

"So I'm afraid you can't keep me away from her, or she'll go crazy..

And so will I....

Are you willing to risk this mission ahead of her because you don't want me for her...?"Lord Lad questioned and i sighed...

"This mission is very important to your servant sister. Let them be..."Roy advised and I walked away from their presence....

KIRA'S POV

I felt a presence beside me...

A very comforting feeling filled my body...

"Lord Lad..."I muttered as I open my eyes..

I smiled happily but weakly...

"I thought you only appear when I call for you...."

"I do but I wanted to pay you a surprise visit. Hope it was worth it...?"he asked and I chuckled....

"Yes... How long have I been asleep...?"I asked snuggling closer to him...

"It's been two days.. And I was going crazy thinking about you..."

"WOW!!! I'm glad I could drive a Lord crazy...."

"I need to freshen up... I must stink..."

"You don't.... But I'll assist you, would you mind....?"

And I smiled shyly...

"I've never been naked before a man...."

"I'm not just any man or a Lord to you... I'm your Kamerad.. I'm yours and you're mine...

If it'll please you, I'll be equally naked so I won't make you uncomfortable..."

Wrapping myself with my white silk, I took a deep breath before walking into my bathroom..

I should probably look away or even look down but the thought of what I'll see down there, made my cheek to burn red..

"Father, with your permission I would like to go out for a walk... My bones are becoming stiff... And I hope to begin training tommorow..."

"You're still too weak for such stressful activity...."I spoke up..

"I'm not.. I'm fit to fight..."she defended glaring at me...

"Father, I'm asking for permission but if you decline, I'll have to do things my way to get your permission you wouldn't like that, would you...?"

She's blackmailing father emotionally...

She really knows her way to get what she wants...

"You've spoilt her too much... She's blackmailing you...."Mother stated

"Father is old enough to make decisions... He's the head of the family not you mom.... Let him decide... Father would you risk my health just because of your insecurities...

I did not complain these past few days when I was bedridden Because I knew I was too weak to handle any kind of stress...

But I'm here because I know I'm perfectly fine..."

Father will definitely accept...

She always have her way with him...

"You have my permission.. But for today you won't go out alone..

I'll send a guard to accompany you since your brother would be too busy...."

He's the best trustable man we have as a knight..."I suggested..

She would definitely stay at home now...
