Manager Steve quickly chimed in, "Mr. Brad Willams is a major celebrity, so of course Mr.Nathan is aware of him!" He then turned to Brad and added, "Even though Mr. Nathan isn't in the entertainment industry, he often makes headlines that rival yours!"
Though it was meant as playful banter, Nathan simply smiled, the kind of smile that suggested he was accustomed to such remarks.
He approached Tiffany Chris directly, saying, "Miss Tiffany, it's nice to see you again!"
Internally, Tiffany cursed, feeling like they were constantly running into each other lately. Why did they always seem destined to cross paths?
Brad noticed the shift in Nathan's gaze and instinctively pulled Tiffany closer. "Oh? You know our Tiffany, Mr. Nathan?" he teased.
Tiffany cut in, "We're not close!"
Nathan chuckled, still focused on her, "True, but we can get to know each other better, can't we, Miss Tiffy?"
Tiffany snapped back to her professional demeanor, looking him squarely in the eyes. "I hope not. Getting acquainted with Mr. Nathan would mean more work for me. I have no desire to relive what happened yesterday morning. You’re a rising star in the business world and a big player in IT. How can our small agency even think about collaborating with you? I would appreciate it if you could refrain from reaching out to our firm for personal matters. I'd be grateful for your understanding!"
Her bluntness caught even Manager Steve off guard. While they were from different fields, connections mattered immensely. Was she really willing to cut off a potential ally?
The mood shifted awkwardly until Manager Steve attempted to lighten it with a laugh. "Haha, Miss Tiffany sure knows how to tell a joke!"
Tiffany managed a smile at him. "It’s amusing, isn’t it? I find it amusing too."
Manager Steve chuckled awkwardly, but the other three remained silent, clearly not engaging with the joke.
Nathan continued to focus on Tiffany as the music began to play again. "Tiffany, may I ask you for a favor?" He gestured gallantly, inviting her to dance.
Tiffany smiled back at him, "But look at my outfit! How can I possibly dance in this? I wouldn’t want to ruin your reputation. All those lovely fans waiting to catch a glimpse of you would be heartbroken!"
Nathan narrowed his eyes slightly, still fixed on her, "Actually, I’ve still got a few things to discuss about yesterday!"
She raised an eyebrow, amused, "I’ve got nothing left to say. If you really want to chat, why not speak with Rosa instead?"
He countered with a smirk, "It wasn’t yesterday morning. It was last night!"
Her heart raced at that, and their gazes locked, hers filled with indignation, his with a knowing look.
The people around them noticed the tension, surprised by the exchange.
Eventually, she relented. She didn’t wish for anyone to discover that this major figure was married to an unknown name like hers. That would surely cause a stir, and she wasn’t ready to vie for attention amongst the stars just yet.
Extending her hand, she took his offer. A small smile broke on his face as he led her onto the dance floor.
To her surprise, she was quite the dancer. If she were clad in an elegant gown, she would undoubtedly steal the spotlight.
With one arm around her waist and the other holding her hand, he found her petite fingers perfectly fitting within his grasp. Avoiding his gaze, she looked elsewhere.
He leaned in, whispering, "Why do you always dress like this? I seem to recall you being a bit more feminine before!"
