After a while, the doctor arrived and Ipkis met him outside and took him to Joana. Then he checked her vitals and did all that he needed to do. He decided to take samples of her blood for a laboratory test. As soon as he did, they were amazed at the color of her blood;
(Doctor Hopkins) “What kind of blood is this? I haven’t seen this kind of blood in all my years of practice. I know human’s blood is red, werewolves are totally different, but a green-blooded person is a different indication. It means she is not human”. So he held her hand and tasted it with his tongue, to see if he could access the kind of being she was, using his clairvoyant ability, then he suddenly began to say surprisingly; “The Sun god, The Sun god…” and that was all he saw and said as he bowed to his knees before her.
Ipkis was confused about what the doctor was saying or what he meant. He then asked:
(Ipkis) “What do you mean by “the Sun god”? Who is the Sun god? What has she got to do with all of these?”, then he saw another trance, where Ipkis was holding unto her hands, and he began to mutter again:
(Doctor Hopkins) “The god of peace and the god of war” as he began to shudder while speaking. Ipkis’ confusion increased as he continued to speak. Suddenly, Joana jerked back to life and awoke from the state she was and surprisingly looked at both Ipkis and the doctor. Then she asked:
(Joana) “What happened? How long did I pass out? Then the doctor answered “there is a mark on your neck, it looks like a cut from the finger of a werewolf. Did you encounter werewolves in a battle recently?
Then she and Ipkis chorused “Yes!” So the doctor said; “that might be the cause of your passing out and other symptoms you experienced. It was supposed to kill you, because this looks like a mark from an Agelon. Its fingers are very poisonous, it should have killed you, but I discovered why you are not dead. As the doctor was speaking, he had been battling with his sight and was using glasses for years. But suddenly he felt a scale fall from his eyes and became uncomfortable with the glass. He then removed the glass from his eyes and said in amazement.
(Doctor Hopkins) “How come my sight is better? This must be because of the blood I tasted. Joana, your blood contains healing properties.” Joana and Ipkis became astonished, as Joana then responded out of great shock.
(Joana) “healing property, how come? By the way, why are you on your knees, doctor?
(Doctor Hopkins) “You are the goddess of power! I know this sounds strange, but it’s true. I am also a clairvoyant and I know this. There is none of your kind except you, and you have to be the Luna of a strong Alpha, who must become a hybrid of both your kind and his”. This is what i saw in the visions while you were still unconscious.
(Joana), still in shock, responded; “but how come? How did I become like this? I was just an innocent farmer’s daughter who desired to have a better education in the city and come back to my town to help others out.
(Doctor Hopkins) “Something must have triggered the Sun god to visit you. Myth has it that he only visits and passes his aster kinge (power) to someone once in ten thousand years. History and prophecy has it that it has only been men, but we don’t know why he is choosing a woman this time around, and it is not yet ten thousand years since the last one.
(Ipkis) “This is strange. I have never heard of any myth as such and to speak of the Sun god?”
(Doctor Hopkins) “Your father knows about this myth and every Werewolf out there, they don’t just know that it is happening in their time”.
(Joana) “Does this explain why I have been having strange things happening to me recently, is it why I was attacked, how come Ipkis doesn’t know about this, but his dad does?”
(Doctor Hopkins) “I do not know everything, but I know Ipkis is not a werewolf, but the werewolves do not attack him, they don’t attack me either, because they need me and I know for sure that nature and every werewolf out there has a bond with you when they see you. For one to attack you is strange, and we have to find out why this happened so.”
(Joana) “I remember that I died at a point or two, but I cannot tell, because the feelings were different. The first one was somehow strange. I felt like I was just born on that day, everything was strange, I could suddenly do things with some extra speed and energy and I could feel things from afar, remember things like I had a past before now, while the other was when I was bitten by a viper, just before I met Ipkis sometime later from then”.
(Ipkis) “What am I hearing? Is this a dream? First it was the whole world crumbling right before our eyes, then we suddenly heard that some people are now called “werewolves”, including my father, as if that was not enough. We suddenly discovered that people were receiving different kinges to become different kinds of werewolves and now, I am personally at the Center of a new discovery of a new werewolf, one of her kind, and I am hearing “the sun god”, and the history and prophecy talks. Phew!! All these are just too much for one head in one day.
First, I didn’t go to work today and now, we are in the middle of the news of someone who has died and been resurrected at least two times and almost the third? This is really difficult to carry mentally all at once.
(Joana) “I am so sorry I brought you into this, I am just figuring these things out myself. I wasn’t even consulted before all this, and it is as strange to me as it is to you too. I don’t really know what to do, I am just caught up in all this and …
Ipkis hugged her while she spoke and asked her to stop speaking. He pitied her whilst she spoke as he tried to reason with her concerning this situation. Then the doctor said:
(Doctor Hopkins) “There is yet another part of this whole mystery. I wanted to see if ipkis would understand a bit of it like I do now, but I might not be able to speak about it just yet, until it is confirmed. Ipkis, I saw you and Joana together in my vision, while I held her hands, but cannot tell what it was for. I would advise that you stand by her and guide her. It is all for good, I am sure, the gods are surely wise in all these things.
(Ipkis) “gods”? In this century, I almost did not believe in anything about the gods, except for the chaos of humans mixed with werewolves in this world. But Joana is innocent and nice in all these things, and it wouldn’t hurt me to stand by her.
(Doctor Hopkins) “Another thing before leaving here is this; you must not tell anyone what transpired here, including your father, if you want her to live, until we can figure out why she was attacked by a werewolf from one of your father's pack. We don’t know if others will attack her too. Now see, her blood even got my eyes healed too, so we have to protect her, Joana, we have to make sure you are safe, OK.
