Chapter 3-The Tale of the gods

They drove for a while and the Joana thanked him for his help. She began asking; (Joana) “why would people refuse to stop and help me, are they full of wickedness in the towns around here?”

(Ipkis) “They wouldn’t dare, I mean these folks control the city, the government, and everything is subject to them. They often snack on humans and people are scared. If no one stopped, then they probably might just be human after all”.

(Joana) “Then why did you stop, are you any different? Aren’t you human too?”. Ipkis sensed the ignorance in her tune and questions and he rather ask her a question than answer her.

(Ipkis) “Where are you from and where are you headed to, you seem not to realize that you are in a very dangerous place. While he asked this, she had begun to fall asleep, seeing that she didn’t sleep well at night, before her ordeal with the snake and now a werewolf. So Ipkis didn’t continue with his question any longer and had to pass the place, he intended to go through on his way to one of his father’s warehouses.

They had a warehouse, where they kept the products manufactured before quality assurance was allowed in for checks. He was in charge of quality assurance, but since he had a person sleeping in his car, he had not even gotten the chance to know her name and she looked unkempt, he just drove to one of his father’s houses, which they seldom use and carried her in. he quickly made up the bed and dressed the room a bit, while he brought her to lay her on it. Then allowed her to sleep, while he zoomed off to work.

Joana slept for about 3 hours and then she woke up from her sleep, it was a dreamless sleep. By the time, she woke up, she noticed that her fingers had grown some more, but looked so beautiful, her hair had grown longer and more beautiful.

(Joana) “Why do I sleep and experience some changes in my body?” She asks herself in soliloquy since she didn’t understand why it was so. Then Ipkis came in with some food. He stopped over to get them something to eat. Immediately he entered, they exchanged greetings and they began to converse.

(Ipkis) “Hi my name is Ipkis and you?”

(Joana) “Joana”. How did I get here? And he responded; “You slept off in my car, while we were still talking.

Ipkis) “Could you please tell me who you are and what you were doing on that dangerous road?”.

Joana) “I live in Anakoz, but I have no one or nowhere to go to now. Anakoz is wiped out, I woke up seeing that.

(Ipkis) “Really? He asked her abruptly, while he kept a gaze at her, from head to toe once more. When he saw that she only needed to clean up and that she wasn’t insane, he got more worried concerning her, having heard her statement. But she was quiet and kept a sober reflection. Then he responds again “You could live here if you want, until you pick up the pieces of your life again.

(Joana) she was overjoyed and responded, “Thank you so much, you are so kind. I don’t know how to repay this gesture”.

(Ipkis) don’t worry, you will get your chance to, but please you can help yourself get cleaned up and change with something nice from any of the rooms, I will get you some clothes tomorrow. When you are done, you can come and let’s eat. And while she heard him, she chucked, and then his gaze fell on her fingers and he grabbed them embarrassingly and complimented her for having such a beautiful finger. Then she wondered why he looked with such passion, it was like something sparked up from inside of them, it was unsaid, but they understood.

(Joana) “Why did you grab my fingers that way? And while she spoke, she didn’t realize that she was metamorphosing, Ipkis had taken note of her unusual glow by the time of the day and was very apprehensive.

As soon as she was done, she came to where he was and they ate together and had further discussion. She attempts to ask a few more personal questions;

(Joana) “Are you married? I hope I am not causing any inconvenience right now.

(Ipkis) “No! I am not married and you are not causing any inconvenience.

(Joana) “Oh thank you for your kindness, you are a good man”. While they conversed, her senses had been heightened and she could begin to feel different about him. She knew that there was something about him, which made her different from him. it was like she was in a void space, she couldn’t explain why she had such feelings, then suddenly, she began to have nausea and ran to the restroom to ease herself of it, and for the first time since the ordeal, she saw herself on the mirror and she looked at herself thoroughly. She was in awe at what she saw. Her hairline and skin texture were looking so different. Then she muttered;

(Joana) “Why am I looking so different? What has happened to me…”, while she was in soliloquy, she could hear footsteps approaching distinctively, and as soon as she turned to see who, she was already collapsing and all she could hear was;

(Ipkis) “Joana! Joana!! Joana!!!), are you alright?”, he kept asking and asking, but she couldn’t answer, it was like she was in the ethereal realm, and Ipkis ad quickly caught her, before she could get down and probably hit her head and body mercilessly down. Then he carried her to the bedroom, laid her there, and covered her. She was still breathing, but only disconnected from the physical world and he placed a wet towel on her head since she was burning up. It helped her to regulate the temperature.

To find a quick solution, he quickly reached out to a doctor, who came down to check. while she was in between, she saw a vision of herself, having s*x, a man touching and carressing her in a very special way, as she moaned through without hesitation. In the vision, it seemed to result into pregnancy and it was all taken off from her sight, while she was left void as though she was asleep.

(Ipkis) on the phone with the doctor “The apartment is situated in the ranch, off the road to Anakoz. The road is called “Ekroff close” and we keep horses”. He continues describing the location. The place is a low-density populated area and houses are scanty there, it was Ekroff’s first property when he became a billionaire and no one else lived there as such but an apartment which was about a kilometer away. The house is a few kilometers off the road and is surrounded by a massive green area. As he expected the doctor, he sat by her, holding her hands and it triggered her into a trance, without his knowledge.

While he was there, she was taken into the future and she began to see things. She saw a chaotic world burning with fire, she was caught in a vision of the gods, but wouldn’t understand that it was them. The world burned and everywhere was in disarray, until she saw a man walk on the world like a map, holding each other’s hands. As long as they held hands and walked on it, the fire was quenched, and as long as their hands were disconnected, the fire was burning and became worse, and burned down things.

While she tried to look at the face of this man and who it was, it was blurry to her, but only his hands were clear. She saw a man with hairy hands holding her and she could feel the tenderness with which he held her and it meant that he must care about her. Then she broke out from the trance shuddering and panting, sweating profusely, but she wasn’t awake yet.
