Waiting for Hope to wake up was torture. I wanted to be in the room with her and hold her hand. I know the mate bond wasn’t in full effect, but it was my hope that the little bit that could be felt would become stronger if Noah and I were with her together. Maybe, just maybe, that bond could help heal her a little.
According to the doctor, her wound was almost fully healed. Noah and I weren't sure how that was possible. She still has at least two months until she turns eighteen. Unless her wolf has already come forward, healing this quickly should be impossible.
