Some Kind of Prestige Heaven
The next morning, Claude, Gretchen, and Mr. Polonio reconvene with Rosie and Gil in Claude’s office. This time, the door is closed.
“So!” Claude’s long-fingered hands come down upon his desk with a resounding slap. “Tell me how it went.”
He gestures at Rosie and Gil, giving them permission to speak first. Claude is one of those people who automatically assumes control over every situation he is in. Well, almost every situation. It’s always been pretty clear to those who know him well that he never had complete control over anything involving his older brother, especially that unfortunate situation with his brother’s wife. Until recently, of course. We all know how that little love triangle turned out.
