It's Victor's free time. He wants to paint Raphael but he doesn't want to spend any more time in the shop since he's too done with it. He doesn't want to paint at home either. He wants it to be a surprise.
He comes up with an idea afterwards. He'll just have to get supplies from the shop and go to his place in the forest. There he'll be alone and he could give the painting to Raphael when he gets home.
He sets out and tells Raphael he was going to the shop, it was true but not fully.
