The night before Victor's Birthday, he couldn't sleep because of excitement, so he tossed around in his bed a couple times, thinking of scenarios that could happen tomorrow on his big day.
Soon he felt sleepy and tired from thinking and rolling around that he fell asleep at such a fast rate.
Morning dawned upon him. He woke up to the sun shining at his face and it was as if the leaves were waving at him. Then he remembered, it was his birthday! As soon as got up he washed himself and he went straight downstairs in a rush. There he saw his Grandma preparing food for them to eat later on. His grandma greeted him with a warm and tight hug.
"Happy Birthday, dear!" His grandmother greeted as he was embraced by her arms.
"Thank you, Lala." He says as his face was full of joy and love.
He helped his Grandma once again with the cooking, and after this he took a bath and wore his nicest clothes, which was recently bought by his Grandma when she went to the market.
"Aww, you look so cute, dear!" His Grandma exclaimed as Victor made his way downstairs.
"It suits you perfectly." She says with a proud expression on her face.
"Thank you, Lala!" Victor replies.
"Do you like it?" His Grandma asks, a bit nervous.
"Uh, no" Victor utters as he looks down.
"Because I love it!" Victor continues.
"Aw, child you nearly made me cry!" His Grandma exclaims.
"Sorry about that Grandma, I just wanted to make you smile." He appologizes.
After this they went to the table, Victor saw the food which his grandmother cooked for his birthday. He was so happy to see all of these delicious dishes, right before his eyes.
He also noticed a blue bike beside the table.
"Is this for me, Lala?" He asks with eagerness in his face and in his eyes.
His grandmother nods in agreement to his question, and once again, Victor was overjoyed.
They soon began to eat. Victor had a hard time choosing what he'd eat first, for they all looked mouth-wateringly tasty.
It took him a few seconds to decide before he chose one dish, then another, and then a lot more! His Grandmother watched from the side, smiling at the satisfaction of giving Victor the birthday party he deserved. She then ate with Victor and they both enjoyed the meal.
After they'd eaten, they were both full and gratefully satisfied as they were both sitting in the couch. A few moments later, after Victor had rest from eating and he was no longer feeling that full.
"Can I go test out my new bike, Lala?" Victor says as he has his hands on his bike and as he was hoping to get an approval.
"Sure dear, but be safe." His grandma replies as she knits a fluffy scarf.
Victor then lifted the bike up and said thank you to his Grandma. He went outside their house, where there weren't that much people nor vehicles, with his helmet that came alongside the bike.
He was a bit hesitant to try but he soon gathered the courage to ride it. At first he couldn't get his balance right and kept on going sideways or falling down, but Victor was persistent. Through his eagerness to learn and his efforts, he got his balance right, it was as if it just snapped in place in one step at the pedal.
He was then able to get a few turns around the road as the time passed. He went inside to look at the clock, it was only 2:35 pm so he went on with his riding. He managed to get further around the road, but this didn't satisfy Victor.
He stopped for a while to think of a route he could take to test out his new skills.
"Hmm, I could go to school since it's still not that dark." He thought.
"I should probably ask Grandma first, for she might worry." He continued.
He went inside their house to ask his grandma but he found his grandma asleep. So he tip-toed upstairs to get a pen and some paper.
He went to their room and there he wrote a little note.
"Dear Lala,
Please don't worry while I'm gone. I went out to ride my bike, and I will be back before dark. I was about to ask you for permission, but you were asleep so here's a note instead.
-Victor"
He tried to look for his watch, but sadly he didn't see it so he had to leave without it. He left the note beside his grandma and soon he was off.
He went to take the road he usually took for school, but he couldn't pass because the workers said that the construction still wasn't finished. He was sad to hear this news but this didn't stop him. He remembered the different route they took in the last day of school. He could still remember it for Victor had good memory. So, he rode his bike to that route and he was soon in the middle of the forest.
It was once again so quiet. No vehicles, no people, just nature and him. He thought that this route would be such a good place to ride at. So he took a moment to appreciate the view. He got off his bike and took a deep breath.
"Such fresh air!" He exclaimed
The butterfly he saw that night he went out and his dream came out of nowhere.
"Oh hi there friend!" He greets.
The butterfly flapped its wings so gracefully Victor had the urge to paint or draw the butterfly, but Victor didn't have supplies nor did he think he had the talent to do so, so he didn't.
After he'd greeted his friend, he went on with biking and soon he had reached the school. He didn't know what time it was but he was happily panting at his achievement. Now all that's left is for him to go home. He didn't want to go home late so he went on, making his way home.
