The Forbiden Night

Samantha. “My concern isn't about the alternative name my husband gave me, Mother. Did you know he hasn't consummated our marriage yet?” My voice thundered through the phone. “What the hell is happening?” The other end of the phone went still as if my mother had cut off until I heard her clear her throat. “Why are you so worked up over s*x, Samantha? Why?” Dazed by the unexpected question, I struggled to find my voice. “Mum, it's the 5th day since our wedding and yet my husband hasn't made love to me. In fact the last time I set my eyes on him was on our wedding night where he spoke to me in an unclear manner.” “Samantha…Samantha….” She repeated my name over and over, but I remained silent. “I know you can hear me anyway…. I urge you to be calm and give your husband time, okay?” “For how long, mother?” I choked on my tears. “No intimacy, no form of connection….” “Your husband made the headlines this morning for losing over a million dollars in a failed business deal and there you are, making fuss about lack of s*x?” “Mother!” I roared. “He never made love to me even before his company suffered a loss this morning.” My mother's voice became distant, indicating that her attention had been diverted. It was when I heard her ask, “How many carats?” that I realized she was in a gold store, shopping. “Samantha?” She called when her attention shifted back to me after some minutes. “Mother, I am sick of all….” A crashing sound against the door paused my voice mid-sentence. I quickly ended the phone call and dashed to the door. “My Neighbor, are….are…..you there?” My husband's voice sounded in bits. What could have gone wrong? My head throbbed with anxiety as I pushed the door open. Slouched on the floor was my husband, wiggling his hand and gulping whiskey. “My Neighbor, you…you…saw it? I lost plenty of money. Lots of money…” “You're getting drunk.” I attempted to reach for the whiskey but he pulled away. “f**k!,” His words started to slur. He stumbled over to his feet and put his weight on me. “I am sad….I lost…money.” I felt my skin melting into him as he leant on me while we lurched inside the bedroom. “I am sorry for your financial loss.” I gently pulled the bottle from his hand and put it away. He peered into my eyes and pulled me closer to himself. “Don't be sorry. It's…it's..not your fault.” He grabbed my ass at the speed of light and nudged me gently to the bed. His weight fell on me, leaving me gasping for air. “My love…” My voice was thin. “You smell so sweet.” His voice swallowed my words. He began to sniff my face, grazing his fingers against my skin. I could feel my toes coiling and my body trembling beneath his weight. He slid his hand under my G-string, sending waves of shock through my body. I let out a soft moan when his lips finally met mine. “I want…I..want…you.” His whiskey-scented breath poured on my face as he began to peel off my clothes. Feeling a slight of shame, I stretched my hand to get the cover over my body, but he grabbed my hand mid-way and said, “We don't need it.” In between my thighs became messy with wetness as he pulled off his clothes, revealing a bulging, veiny erection. A thin smile creased the corners of his eyes before he pushed himself inside me. I felt a fleeting, sharp sensation through my body, but it was soon replaced with pure pleasure that left me almost breathless. “This feels so good…” I cried softly. When his thrusts became a little rapid, my moans reached the roofs. “Yeah…yeah…” His brows pulled together as his voice broke into my moans. Time seemed to pause while he pushed himself in and out of me. I was so accepting of the s*x that I spread my legs widely apart. Nearing climax, his hands clasped tightly around my waist, his hips thrusting vigorously, and with a high throaty cry his pelvis flexed into relaxation and he rolled off me. ONE MONTH LATER. I stormed inside my husband's private bedroom, with the positive pregnancy test result tucked inside my purse. “Have you lost your mind?” He jumped up from the bed, his eyes blazing. “Who gave the permission to come inside my private bedroom?” His tone was so piercing that my hand trembled around the purse. “It's been one month since we had time together, since I set my eyes on you.” My tone was a mixture of excitement and sadness. “You need to get out before I open my eyes.” He shut his eyes, pointing his index finger at me. Rage shot through my nerves and I blurted, “I am your wife! And I deserve some respect.” “You are my proxy wife!” His eyes flared open, his face hardening. “And I owe you no marital obligation. I have been avoiding you since that night because you compromised the agreement you signed. You lured me into having s*x with you because I was drunk and out of my mind.” My vision went blurry as tears instantly welled up my eyes. “What do you mean for God's sake?” “Don't ask me stupid question. If you have forgotten the terms of the agreement I think you should turn to your mother for some clarity.” He snapped his fingers and bit hard into his lower lip. “After all, your mother signed the papers on your behalf.” A brick-like weight hit me in the chest, my lips were twitching, and I could feel my legs weakening. “This is not happening! No! No!” Tears began to stream down my cheeks as I gently caressed by belly. “Is this a dream?” I swallowed a lump. “Save the question for the bird. All I care is that you are not my wife. I paid your mother all it's worth to ensure that you abide by the terms of the agreement.” “You have no idea how much I love you, Ethnan.” “Enough!” He slammed his hand against the dresser mirror. “I am done with this. Take the exit door and never come back. I can easily find your replacement, and for all the money, you and mother can have it for all I care.” His words cut through my flesh and I felt my world split apart. I secured the purse tightly in my hand and turned toward the door. And with a final look at the man I thought was my husband, I managed to speak. “I will get my things and leave, at least for good. Bye, Ethnan.”
