How I ended up agreeing to Dave's offer, I still can't comprehend. Despite the crappy morning I had that day, I ended up having two men asking me out. Nova would have to eat by himself. After the way he kept acting like he wasn't listening to me, I was too upset with him to have a meal with him.
I went to check on Ryan. Seeing him sleep right after having breakfast was weird. He would usually become hyperactive after a meal. Walking into my room, I placed my hand on his body to check for fever.
Immediately, I withdrew my hand. He was burning up. Why didn't I suspect this earlier? I rushed to get him his fever medicine. This wasn't the first time he had a fever like that.
