Cassidy's POV
I did not see that question coming. My cheeks turned red at the thought of what had woken me up, I couldn't look him in the face. I had to think of a good lie or find some other way to escape the situation.
“Why are you blushing?” I could hear the amusement in his voice. “ Don't tell me you were thinking of something naughty and that's why you couldn't fall asleep.” With one of his large hands, he cupped my cheeks and lifted my face up so our eyes would meet. His clear blue eyes stared so intensely at my amber eyes. For a minute, it felt like he could see through them and read my thoughts.
