Cassidy's POV
I was about to enter Ryan's and Dave's room when I heard their discussion. Due to the process of treatment, Dave had to lie beside Ryan for a long time.
“ What is your name?” Ryan asked and Dave said something I dreaded.
“ Daddy.”
I opened the door immediately, breaking their moment. I understood that he was giving a part of himself to Ryan but that didn't mean I wanted Ryan to know he was his father. Now, getting him out of our lives would be very hard.

“Mommy!” Ryan screamed excitedly. I was happy to hear his loud tiny voice again.
