RippedAfter a late, late supper, a team debrief and a short sleep, the players who were heading back overseas were all up early for breakfast. It was still dark and there were some bleary eyes over a light continental buffet. Marianne, Seb and Aneka walked in through the open doorway to the club lounge, followed by Mum and Dad. Aneka raced across to give Jarrod a hug. Mum and Dad had their bags, and they were obviously leaving for the airport first. Jarrod accompanied them down to the foyer and the goodbyes started. There were tears all round as the airport shuttle pulled up and the kids clung to their grandparents as they made their way to the door of the bus.
