BeckonedJarrod sprinted to the front entrance of the Arena and his shoulders slumped immediately when he saw that he was three minutes late. Perhaps no one would notice. He breezed into the changing room and the whole squad was there. There was a big cheer. They were all pointing at the top of their wrists. He wasn’t going to get away with this. That would be a hefty fine into the coffers for the end of season. Jarrod didn’t even put up a fight and took his place and started to get changed as his teammates started to file out on to the field. The turf at the Arena was unreal—despite training on it often and despite it being used for rugby games every other week while the local rugby club built their all-purpose boutique stadium nearby, the surface was as good as any that Jarrod had played
