I didn't know that they would be here

"Hey Caroline you okay? You've been staring at them for a few minutes now." Ally said snapping me out of my thoughts

"Uh yeah I'm fine..." I said not to worry her

During the week leading up to the party, me and Ally got to know each other some more and I decided to tell her about what happened in the cafeteria. I haven't known her for long but I thought maybe she could tell me some more about the boys since I don't know anything about them. She didn't know much except for that they never showed up for school, and when they did show up, people stayed out of their way because they were complete delinquents. Apparently it was them who robbed the store that my mother told me about. I'd rather not ask too much about it. I don't want them to hear I was asking around about them.

"Don't be scared, I won't let them do anything to you" 

"I appreciate it Ally. Thank you." 

I didn't want Ally's efforts to go to waste. So I'm just going to try to have a good time. It's my first party in awhile, so I should have a nice time. I still am curious who the other two boys were. They looked slightly older than the two I saw in the cafeteria. I hope I don't run into them. The one with the hood scared me the most. After I saw the way he punched that guy... Imagine what he would do to me. 

What if he walked up to me instead of his friend?

What if they find out I asked about them?

What if his other friends are just as bad as him?

Oh no..

I'm being scary again...

I need to just distract myself

"Um Ally.."

I turned to find her but she isn't here.

Where did she go?

"Caroline, come down here!" I saw Ally downstairs yelling to me with other girls near her

I started to go downstairs quickly so I didn't have to make Ally wait for me. I noticed the 4 boys weren't there by the door anymore. 

Jeez 

That frightens me

At least I knew where they were

Now I don't

I wish I wasn't so scared. I just never had to deal with such scary situations. And violence was something I disliked. I was usually never apart of it. And after seeing how those two acted, I'm even more scared to see four of them. Maybe I'm just over reacting and they aren't even thinking about me. 

"Hurry up Caroline, your moving slower than a snail" Ally said

I guess I got lost in my thoughts while I was walking over to her

"Okay I'm here, what is it?

"Didn't I tell you that the cheer leaders were going to be interested in you!? Ally said with a smile on her face clapping her hands

"Yeah your real pretty. We heard you sort of have a background in gymnastics and cheer leading so we wanted you to join." One girl said

"Um, maybe later on I'll consider joining. I just moved in so maybe when I get more comfortable with everything I'll join you guys." I tried to say nicely

Cheer leading was fun but I'm still new here. I guess I could think about it.

"Yes please consider it!" Another girl from the squad said

"Why don't you hang with us tonight?"

I didn't know if I should, so I looked at Ally to see if it was okay. She nodded her head in agreement with the idea. 

"Okay sure, lets hang out tonight"

2 hours later

I've only had  one shot of alcohol but it didn't agree with me. I better go get Ally and tell her I'm a light drinker. Then I can just stay by her for the rest of the night. I had fun with the cheer leaders. They introduced me to even more people and told me about their routines. I guess their treating it like I;m already on the team. I do want to join a bit more than I did earlier. They were so nice that I wouldn't mind spending more time with them.

I said bye to the girls downstairs after they told me that Ally was upstairs in the private room. I'm going upstairs but I don't know what a private room is. I don't know where I'm supposed to go exactly. This is a party, what did she mean private room. 

Ugh, my thoughts are all over the place because I've been drinking. I have only had one drink before in my life and that was at the other party I went to before this. to be completely honest, the only reason I had a shot of alcohol is because alcohol warms your body up and it was starting to get cold downstairs, but now that I don't feel so well, I kind of regret drinking.

Now which room is supposed to be the private room? Marlon's house was pretty big. I guess that's why Ally wanted to use his house for the party. I have a feeling this isn't the first time his house has been used for a party. 

Alright since I don't know which room is the private room, I'll just check all the room from left to right. I know this isn't the smartest idea, but I just want to hurry and find Ally so I'm going to do it anyway.

5 minutes later

Okay I've checked 6 rooms. Every last inch, but no Ally. What do people do in these private rooms anyway. I guess people just play party games there. I don't know, I just want to find Ally.

This is the last room I'm checking and then I'm going to the bathroom. I haven't used it all night. 

Alright let me hurry and open it so I can...

"What the f**k?" A male voice said

Oh no

Its them...

I'm paralyzed in fear right now. The boy in the hood is pointing a gun at me

"What the f**k are you doing in here huh?!" The boy behind him said

I didn't answer

All I could do was stare at the gun as the boy in the hood walked toward me. 

I can't move

"Get her the f**k outta here." The boy behind him said

When I looked around the room, I saw bags full of white stuff on the floor. But then the boy with the gun slapped me and grabbed me by my neck and yanked me out the room

"OWWWWW!" I yelled as he started yanking me out the room

I tried to pull his hand away but I couldn't. 

He was too strong

He dragged to me to another door that was closed and kicked it with his foot real hard. Then he threw me on the floor and walked back to the other room he was in. Why was he so aggressive all the time? First he hits the other guy in the cafeteria who was just doing his job, and now he points a gun at me. 

A gun

I had never seen one in real life before. Why does he keep scaring me like that? And his friends are scary too. They were all scary and all probably dangerous too. 

I grabbed onto the back of my neck where he grabbed and pulled onto me. He dragged me over here by my neck. It hurt so bad that I was about to start crying. Just then someone opened the door and this girl who had on a bra and jeans opened the door. 

"Umm, what do you need?" the girl asked

She looked so confused as to why I was here lying on the floor.

"Can you please tell me where Ally is...?" 

I didn't want to have to speak more than I had to, I just wanted to find Ally and go home.

"Caroline? Is that you?" Ally asked as she walked up behind the girl

"Caroline what happened to you!?"

"Can I just go home now please?"  I asked in a sorrowful voice

Ally told me she was going to take me home, so that's why I've been trying to find her. I also feel more comfortable being with her of all people.

"Okay let me grab my things, give me a second." 

Once Ally said that, she quickly went back into the room to go and grab her things. People in the room were starting to look toward me so I stood up and fixed myself so I wouldn't feel so embarrassed. I still kept my hands on my neck because it was still throbbing. A few seconds later, I heard footsteps from behind me, then I got pushed away from the door and I saw the two boys form the other room go into the room Ally was in. It was the other boy from the cafeteria who was in the room with the hooded boy. The one who pushed me was the one who was with the hooded boy. He started laughing when he saw me and pushed me. 

"Marcus you don't have to be such an asshole" The girl with the bra said

In an instant his laughed vanished and he looked at the girl with cold, murderous eyes.

"What did you say to me? He said in a low but bold voice to the girl

"She immediately lowered her head

" I'm sorry. Please don't hit me." 

What?

Please don't hit me?

How cruel were these guys?

All she did was tell him to be nicer...

"Levi, if she speaks out of line again, I'll slap the f*****g daylights out of her"

"Go ahead. I'll just replace her." Levi said with a smirk on his face

"Smartass" Marcus said

Ally finally came out of the room. I couldn't wait to leave.

"Marlon end the party. I'm taking her home." Ally said

"But Ally-" Marlon tried

"I said end it Marlon!"

 "Ally, we haven't finished what we came here for." Marcus said

"Maybe you should've thought of that before you did whatever you did to her. The party was for her and you guys ruined it, so I'm ending the party. Now take your s**t somewhere else." Ally said sharply back to him

" Wow, you let Ally tell you off. I guess your punk ass still has a soft spot" Levi said

"Shut the f**k up you punk son of  a b***h. And blame Zeke. He was the one who grabbed her by the f*****g neck. He probably went crazy since he hasn't had s*x in a week." Marcus said

The boy with the hood looked up at Marcus with a death glare

"Zeke calm your f*****g nerves, I'm just f*****g with you."

"Maybe if you had s*x more than you ran, you wouldn't be so eager to touch a girl all the time" Marcus said laughing

"I guess it made the boy with the hood angry. I guess his name is Zeke as well. 

Zeke is the one who grabbed me....

In the middle of them talking, Ally came over to me and started leading me away so we can leave

"Mason, Levi, take the rest of the stuff in the bag and finish up here. Me and Ezekiel will  take the stuff that we bagged already and bring it to the basement." Marcus said as I was walking away with Ally

We finally made it outside and I felt so relieved to be away from that house. Parties are not for me. They never ever go right. On the bright side, i got to meet new people. People seem to like me a little, so I'm glad people liked me. But at the same time I got hurt, I drank alcohol, and I almost got shot with an actual gun....

Good thing I tried to follow the rules instead of being a hard headed brat who doesn't listen to their parents. 

We were walking back home in silence and then I finally asked because it was on my mind. 

" I thought you said you didn't know much about them."

"I don't"

"Then why do they speak so casually about you? And why did that Marcus boy not get mad at you like he did to the other girl? And how did you know that they did something to me? You must know more than you told me." I said letting my thoughts spill into words

"Most of what I told you is the truth. I don't know much about them. I just sort of... used to.. have a thing with Marcus." Ally said in a low monotone voice

I was shocked

How could she be with him?

They were so mean to everyone else

What happened between them?

What do you mean you had a thing with him.?

I felt like she didn't want to speak about this anymore, so I asked another question.

"Why is the Zeke boy with the hood so mean?" I asked quietly

"That's just how he is. An aggressive, angry prick."

I guess...

That still doesn't make me feel better about him hurting me....

We were almost at my house at this point, so we didn't have to talk much more.

When we finally made it, I thanked Ally for what she had done for me

"Thank you again Ally. I appreciate you trying to give me a good party." I said hugging her

I didn't want her to feel like she wasted her time and efforts. I wanted her to know I was sincerely thankful for what she was trying to do for me. She really was trying to be a good friend.

"I'm glad I had the chance to give you a party. And I'm sorry it got ruined. Maybe there is something I can do to make it up to you" She said hugging me back tightly

"You've done more than enough."

"Even if you say that, I still want to make it up to you" 

We both giggled, then we let go of each other.

"Goodbye Ally" I said waving

"Bye Caroline"

As I walked in, I saw my dad on the couch with my mother.

"Hey Caroline" My dad said

"How was the party?" my mother followed

"I had a nice time" I said with a smile.

I just wanted to get past this so I could go take a shower and lie down.

"Well you must be tired, go to bed now darling" my mother said

"Okay mom, goodnight" I said while giving them both a kiss on the cheek

I made my way upstairs and took a quick shower to take off any smell I might've picked up from the party.Once I started to lay down, I started thinking about what happened earlier tonight, and I started to recall events piece by piece.

I drank alcohol

I had a gun pointed toward me

I was grabbed and yanked by the neck

I was shoved and laughed at

This really bothered me. I couldn't stop replaying it in my mind. It's all I thought about for the rest of the night. When I started to get drowsy, I suddenly started thinking of more of the things I had heard from earlier. 

Didn't Marcus say...

Mason, Levi, take the rest of the stuff in the bag and finish up here. Me and Ezekiel will  take the stuff that we bagged already and bring it to the basement ...

Me and Ezekiel....

But didn't Mr.Steiner say....

 I know this may be a large request and I understand if you refuse. but do you think you could help my nephew Ezekiel out with his school work? It's not that he isn't smart, but as you can see, he doesn't even show up for school.
