“So, Kinley, how would you feel about me inviting Aunt Audrie over for dinner?” Rochelle bounced along next to her cousin as if simply asking permission to buy new shoes.
Kinley stopped so abruptly, Kat and I almost ran into her. “You’d better not mean the Aunt Audrie who abandoned our family.” She stood with an ice cream cone halfway to her lips, eyebrows raised at Rochelle.
