CHAPTER 33ROCHELLE November 18, 2090 “Sit down right over there, Rochelle.” Molly gestured to two chairs in front of a flickering fire place in an abandoned building within a ghost town. Although I felt I should be looking for a way to escape, I was drawn to the warmth of the fire. We’d driven around on gravel roads for almost an hour, first heading north and then circling back south until we pulled into an abandoned little town I recognized as Gilbert. I had ridden there with my dad once to get a part for the truck. It had nearly been a ghost town then as residents moved to bigger cities. Most importantly, it was only twenty miles from Maibe.
