I wash my hands at the sink, wishing I was home with my brothers or out there at Amory working; it would be so much better than wasting a big part of my day dealing with this bullshit. I step out of the bathroom, let the door close behind me slowly, walk down the hallway, and almost run smack into her.
Her eyes widened, and she froze right in front of me. Her blonde hair is wet and matted to her head in loose waves.
She’s wrapped in a large blue towel. It’s short and barely covers her thighs. Without meaning to, my eyes roam over her frame wishing to unwrap her like the present she is.
She scrambles for the folds of the towel but it’s already sliding down her sides, her bikini winking out and providing a stunning view of her breasts still snug, and almost slipping from her now wet bikini.
She gasps and I take a step forward, my c**k already growing. She pulls the towel over her breasts and exhales a shaky stream of air. “Jeez, that was close.”
Not close enough. Her green eyes are staring up at me, half a smile tipping her lips as a blush invades her cheeks. I’m itching to invade her space. The way her eyes rise to mine makes it look as though the sun is rising.
Soon, she starts giggling. My brows furrow and I tip my head back. “What’s funny?”
“You should see your face. You look like you’ve seen a ghost. Come on, I don’t look that bad!”
“No, you look that good.”
Her laughter turns into a cough, but all I can focus on is the way she licks her lips and gasps. I lean forward so her face is right up against mine and our breathing rolls together in the air.
“Why did you have to be outside the bathroom, right now?”
She licks her lips and sparks flow over my warm skin. “We wanted some fruit,” she whispers, as though scared to break the spell between us. I don’t know what it is, but I have a death wish because I kiss her.
At first, she stiffens, but I firmly place my hand on her hip, pulling her into my body and she relaxes, opening her mouth for me. I take advantage of the small opening nipping on her bottom lip.
She shifts closer, her breast pushing against my chest. My hand lifts as though of its own accord to her hair, sinking gently into her hair. I anchor my fingers in her hair pulling slightly, and she f*****g moans.
The growl growing in my throat pulls me out of the trance and I pull away from her, my forehead leaning against hers as I guide my hand down to cup her neck. She’s panting as if she just ran a race.
“What was that?”
“A redo of your first kiss. That’s how it should have been.”
My fingers brush their way down her shoulders, slide over her collarbone, and lap for a moment around her neck before continuing on to her chest where I stop. She’s barely breathing, her chest unmoving under my palm. But her eyes, they’re even wider, even hotter, even brighter, and there’s a light breaking out in them that burns like the sun, sending streaks of that spreading light right into my chest.
Her frozen stance suddenly brings laughter to my lips. I chuckle lightly, putting my head by her ears and whisper, “That’s the kiss you deserved, Sole. Il mio piccolo sole.”
Melissa
He kissed me.
Xander kissed me, and it definitely wasn’t like Jacob. There was no chin, no excessive tongue.
It was everything I imagined my first kiss to be, but it was from Xander Amory, which means it can never ever happen again.
I walk mindlessly back to the pool, where Gianna is tanning. When I sit next to her, she pokes up with a frown. “Mel, where are the mangoes?”
I look down at my hands, the memory of them pulling Xander’s hair, as I pulled him closer into me flashes across my mind.
“Hello? Earth to Melissa! Where are the mangoes?” Gianna’s annoyed singing causes me to snap out of my daze and I look at her, blush creeping up my neck.
“Um…I must have forgotten, sorry.” I lean back on my chair dismissing her, but she huffs.
“So you were gone for twenty minutes…wait, where is your towel?” Gianna leans over me with humor-filled accusations. “Oh you were naughty!”
“Was not!” I shoot up.
This will be the first secret I keep from Gianna. She doesn't know about Xander. Nobody can.
This is so wrong. It’s wrong how he makes my stomach flip, wrong how easily we fit into each other, wrong how we finish each other's sentences. Everything about this is wrong.
Gianna tisks at me as she shakes her head, pointing her finger at me. “I know you like the back of my hand, Mel. I know you better than you know yourself. So spill, or I go to the security room and start looking at cameras.”
I sink down, knowing this is not an empty threat, “Fine, but you can’t tell anyone. This is a grave secret.” I extend my pinky for Gianna to wrap hers around.
She smiles. “My favorite type of secret!” We both kiss our hands and she tucks her crossed legs underneath her. “Now spill!”
“I kissed Xander, well Xander kissed me.” Gianna almost jumps out of her skin with a squeal, causing one of the guards to run over.
“Everything okay here?” The guard looks around suspiciously and Gianna rolls her eyes.
“Don’t you know happiness when you hear it?” The guard looks at her confused and stays still until she flings her hands, pushing him forward, “Go away!”
Once the guard is gone, she turns back to me. “Tell me everything, matter of fact, reenact it!”
I cover my head in embarrassment, “G, this is so wrong. Father will kill me. Daniel will kill me.”
“Well was it just a kiss, or something more?” Gianna wiggles her eyebrows at me hoping for something more, and even though my body comes alive thinking about him touching me again, I shake my head.
“Nothing more, just a kiss.” For both of our sakes, it better be just a kiss.
