MILLS AND MAKESHIFT ARMY Kiera's POV I arrived on my bike, with Kai pressed against my back. His arms circled my waist from behind me. And he hadn't released me, not since we had left Magdalene's cabin. Couldn't blame him. I had told him I wouldn’t leave him again. Then promptly made arrangements to do just that. The parking lot at the mill was packed. Motorbikes stood lined up in rows. Black Howl patches mixed with Iron Valkyries it cuts. Wolves and bikers standing together. It was an impossible sight. These factions loathed each other six months ago. Now, they waited for me to say what should be done. I turned off the engine and assisted Kai of the bike. He swiveled his eyes around. So many people. So much tension in the air. I know I felt it as well from the crown. Every heartbeat.
