Kevin kept sweeping Shelly off her feet with unexpected surprises on their dates. Shelly continued to grin on the inside; on the contrary, she constantly checked her phone every occasionally, in case an old lover called. She worried if any one of them would call her during her time with Kevin. Another few days passed by and Shelly got a phone call from Bernie. He called and Shelly hung up on him. He kept calling her persistently, and Kevin questioned her about the phone calls she hung up on as well as missed calls.
Shelly scowled and then told him to not worry about it. Kevin began to have some distrust in Shelly, becoming even more mysterious with her exits from their dates. Kevin decided to forgive Shelly. He began to contemplate on what she was hiding.
