Shelly glanced around, "why are we going to your house?" Deidra spoke flatly. "Because you can't afford to be alone right now and you need to process the fact that you were almost a victim. Even if you don't believe you're hurting, I think you need to be around people who love you." Deidra pulled over to the shoulder and leaned over to hug Shelly in a tight embrace, "that's what family does for one another. We look after each other." Shelly started to cry and Deidra just held her firmly. Then Deidra began to weep unexpectedly. Finally, they let go of each other and Deidra sped off. Thirty minutes later, Deidra pulled up to her house and got out. Shelly solemnly followed Deidra. They stepped into the mansion feeling the weight of the world.
