Danield stood trying on his tuxedo. " You told mother not to come."
" No I didn't. Both Jaz and I have made it clear that her and grandfather are invited as long as they behave themselves."
" Jaz is the one that slapped mother."
" Mother called our son bastard."
" His not your son, Aiden." Danield raised his voice.
" Mother tell you that."
" Yes." Danield lowered his voice.
" So because his not my blood his not my son."
Danield stood staring at him. He knew how ridiculous he sounded, but mother had insisted that this was just away to get back at grandfather. So he need to talk sense into, Aiden. He stared to open his mouth....when Aiden said.
" Than his not Jaz's son either."
" What?"
" Ben's adpoted."
" O no one told me."
" His still ours so it doesn't matter. I plain to adpot as soon as we marry."
No way, Aiden would adpot him just to prove a point. " You right of course. Its just hard for me to believe mother would call any child a bastard. "
" It's because mom loves, Sherry and you've never given her reason to interfer."
" Aiden she.."
" It's not the first time. Mom took advantage of a misunderstanding Jaz and I had. That's why she left the seven years ago."
" Jaz tell you." Danield was getting worked up again.
" No. Dad told me. Four months after Jaz left. I didnt look for, Jaz than because I blamed myself. Dad seen the down whirled spiral I was going through."
" So he gave you someone else to blame. "
" I still blamed myself if it wasn't for that misunderstanding mom would never had the opportunity to do so and I still went to work for the company. Besides dad dont speak bad of either one of them. So why would he lie about that and mom never denied it back than in fact she was proud of herself."
Danield stood thinking and letting that sink in.
" Did you mean it when you welcomed Jaz back and into the family?"
" I want to be happy for you, Aiden. Its just that it feels like this is turning are family against each other."
" I love you. I love your loyalty. Your loyalty to all our family. I'm not the problem and neither are Jaz and Ben. Im not asking you to choose sides. I'm just asking that you accept that I'm marring the love of my life and treat my family with the same respect I treat yours."
" The hole thing seems like a big mess."
" I know but being in love is neat."
Danield smiled " No it isn't brother." He slapped him on the back. " I will treat your family the with the some respect you treat mine.
The dress
Jasmine ran her hand down the satin antique white dress. It had white beading down it. Mermaid dress with long off the shoulder sleves. The back had a heart shape showing off the middle of her back.
Even though she had agreed to the marriage she hadn't really believed that the wedding would come, but know it was feeling real to her.
Tears brimmed her eyes. Even though she agreed to it to protect, Ben she know wonder if someone as powerful had asked would she agreed to it or is Aiden the only one she would have accepted.
" Are you going to come out and show us that dress?" Grace called out.
Smiling she stepped out of the dressing room.
" Wow, Jaz." Grace walked around her. " Aiden isn't going to be able to breath when he sees you in this." Jaz smiled great big.
" Would you like to see it with the veil on?" The consultant asked.
" Yes please. "
The village was long going to her knees. There was light beading on top where it sat on top of her head and lite beading down the sides.
