"I'm so sorry I disturbed you," Elizabeth apologized as she brought down the luggage she was holding at the side of Mari's bed. "I'll make it up to you, I promise."
Mari indulgently shook her head and collapsed the crossing of her arms. She then placed her hand on Elizabeth's shoulder and pressed it barely. Elizabeth's eyes were puffing, her nose reddening, and her whole face had gone pale. Mari then guessed that she came from a lot of yammer. She would not even guess that it was because of her abusive mother.
"You don't have to, okay? You're my best friend!" Mari said and spread her arms so that she can hug Elizabeth. "You can count on me every second. Just tell me if you have problems and whatknots."
