The whole time Elizabeth was reporting, Cross could not stop looking at her. Everyone was focused on what she was talking about --- the content of her report and what they could suggest and improve. However, Cross was impressed by how she talked, acts, and raised her forehead as if she was dominating the whole conference.
Elizabeth was not even smiling. She was like a teacher who is teaching her students, and with her stares and intelligent talking, she could get their attention by listening and understanding what she was saying.
Cross never raised a question. The senior manager was the one who tortured Elizabeth with difficult questions. Elizabeth was very wise and professional, too, which made everyone amazed at how resourceful and smart she was.
