Elizabeth drank the water bottle Yngrid gave to her. Cross watched her drink as she stuck a band-aid on her cut. Elizabeth, on the other hand, was uncomfortable with their stares, so she abruptly finished all the liquid in the bottle and wiped away the splatters of water around her lips. “Done,” she said simply, and cleared her throat. Her eyes went to the band-aid Cross placed on her cut. “Thank you about this…” She looked at Yngrid, who was worriedly looking at her. “… sir.” It would be complicated if Elizabeth would casually call him by his name. Even though she is completely annoyed with him, she won’t risk letting her colleagues know about their past relationship. “You should be careful opening your umbrella from now on,” Cross huskily said, his eyes never leaving Elizabeth’s eyes.
